Dr. Gomez has been my GP for 5 years. I don't go to the Drs office often, and have been giving her the benefit of the doubt - but no more. I am changing GPs ASAP. Let me explain: About 3 years ago she decided I had asthma. I have gone to several other MDs all who have said I don't plus, I have had extensive testing done, all conclusions being drawn that I had had a one off Asthma experience from being in a dusty building. Even after all of this, she wanted to put me on a steroid inhaler that she admitted people become dependent on with long term use. Whenever I go to see her, she is fixated me having asthma and will not listen to what is wrong with me, whether it is a fever or a cold that I caught she still says it is asthma. She has made up her mind and will not listen to anything else. She made me feel foolish for coming in with what I thought were serious concerns, and looked down on me for my worries. She is abrasive, rude, and frankly a terrible doctor. Do not go to her!

Pays lots of attention to the patient as a whole. Uses technology well and is well informed, pleasant and easy to speak with. I was one of her first patients and I couldn't be more pleased.

She's one of the best doctors I've ever had. She's always friendly and always helpful. I do wish she were more on-time but it's rare to find a doctor that IS on-time.

I have a lot of respect for and trust in Dr. Gomez. The poor reviews, in my opinion/experience, have to do with the *terrible* organization/management of Concord-Hillside Internal Medicine and Emerson's ER. I'm not sure how much influence she has on cranky, distracted inept assistants/nurses and I wish Dr. Gomez had her own office or practiced at a better facility like Lahey, MGH, etc. I'm in the middles of a health scare right now and while I'm seeing all kinds of specialists, I know that I can go to Dr. Gomez and get calm wisdom and reassurance. She's more conversative than other docs, I think. A keeper.

I love Dr. Gomez. I can't say enough good things about her. She always takes her time and makes sure I have all my questions answered. She always calls back if I leave her a message. She is the best doctor I have ever had.

I liked her at first but she is impossible to reach on the phone. I must have left 10 messages for her over a few weeks before she finally called me back. Decided to switch dr's after she wrote me a prescription for topical erithromicin. I'm very allergic to it and the allergy was well noted on my chart. Luckily someone at CVS caught the error when i tried to fill it. She's a nice woman but just seems too overwhelmed and busy to be a good dr.

I wound up in the ER, & had to be admitted to the hospital, after Dr. Gomez put me on a combination of BP meds that caused me to black out, & my sodium to fall to a dangerously low level. For one thing, she (re)-started me on Hytrin 10 mg.--which is a huge no-no, to start a patient on that high of a dose of Hytrin even if they'd been on it before. This was after starting me on Hydrochlorothiazide a week earlier, but before she checked the blood test showing how that drug had caused sodium to fall to a dangerously low level. The combination was almost deadly for me. When I recently ordered a copy of my medical record from the Hospital, I found that "Dr. Gomez" had made a snarky comment to the ER Dr. who called her, trying to blame me. She never came to see me in the hospital, or called me, or expressed any concern. You could maybe find a worse Dr., if you try.....
