Dr. Oliver Herfort is a poor substitute for a doctor -- on a level of awful that's almost beyond comprehension in this country in 2023. Sniveling, unequivocal in his scorn for patients, more interested in hearing his own voice than understanding what the patient is there for ... ugh! Even threw shade at my regular D-H PCP's "unusual" prescribing practices. Unfortunately, Dr. Herfort was not up to speed on current best practices in treatment of certain conditions, so I can't even say he is some sort of socially inept medical savant. How understaffed Dartmouth-Hitchcock must be to hang on to this guy. Hats off to the poor medical student who was shadowing this character -- and probably a good thing for med students to see Dr. Herfort's real-time demo of how NOT to behave with patients. I echo everything the other negative reviews note and I, too, will be contacting D-H Patient Relations / Ombudsperson tomorrow -- encouraged that perhaps if they get enough of these complaints, they'll get rid of him. There are other Primary Care Providers to choose from, don't aggravate your condition by choosing Oliver P. Herfort. A completely wasted appointment.
