    Biography

    Dr. Ann Contrucci is a board-certified pediatrician with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and went on to complete a residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital.Dr. Contrucci has been a practicing pediatrician for nearly 30 years. She has worked in a variety of settings, including the Children's Scottish Rite Hospital emergency department for many years. She's practiced in the mountains of Western North Carolina, and even started her own practice in Ontario, Canada. She is a Georgia Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics Ambassador for suicide prevention, and is especially interested in evaluating and treating children and adolescents with mental health challenges like anxiety, depression and eating disorders, as well as the relationship between maternal and early childhood mental health. She also enjoys working with children who have or might have asthma.Dr. Contrucci strongly believes in forming a mutual, trusting relationship with her patients and their families, and partnering with parents to support building their children�s resilience. She believes in integrating the whole child � mind, body and spirit � and affirms lifestyle pillars as vital to that care.Dr. Contrucci loves yoga and tai chi, reading, gardening, live music, dancing and traveling. She also enjoys the outdoors, including hiking, bird watching and being anywhere near water in a kayak, boat or simply on shore. Dr. Contrucci loves to cook Italian food, especially using her outdoor pizza oven, and she never turns down chocolate or ice cream.
