My situation was unique in that I needed a local radiation oncologist that completely understood my rare cancer situation. Not only was he understanding and compassionate with my type of cancer, he made sure that all of my prior scans were taken into consideration prior to making any calls on treatment. Alabaster has a gem with Dr. Jahraus and we are very lucky to have him.

I was just diagnosed with lung cancer. This doctor stayed until 8pm to get me stabilized from an Emergency Room treatment for brain inflammation. These professional at Shelby Baptist and Alabama Oncology are gifted and loving for reception to full treatment. I am Blessed!

Dr. Jahraus and his staff are the best that I have ever encountered. They are dealing with seriously ill people and their families yet they take all the time necessary with each patient to answer questions and sometimes just talk with you. They treat patients like people, not just a file number. I hope that no one in my family needs these type services again, but if we do, I cannot imagine going anywhere but back to Dr. Jahraus.
