I’ve been a patient of Dr Bakkers for almost 20 years. I have had appointments in the office, on video call and the phone. I have to say in all these years Dr Bakker and his staff have never treated me in an unkind way or unprofessional . He has treated me for sleep apnea, migraines and neurological conditions. He has always took the time to listen and discuss any issues I am having. He always makes it a point to go over all my conditions. He knows I have a lot of medical conditions and always ask how I am overall and that means a lot to me. It shows that he cares about your well being as a person not just a patient. I can honestly say he’s helped me physically, emotionally and spiritually to feel better about my health. I can only say good things about Dr Bakker and his staff. His nurse Linda has always been so kind and helpful to me. I contacted her many times to help me with insurance issues and pharmacy issues. She’s always been prompt and courteous to resolve any issues I’ve had. His office staff have always treated me professionally . And if there were any issues with scheduling or rescheduling they have always contacted me in a professional and kind manner to resolve it.I would recommend this office to anyone. They are Professional ,Kind and a very Caring Dr and Staff. I will continue seeing them for as long as I can. I truly Appreciate and Respect all of them. Thank you for your care and kindness! Sincerely : Sue Gibbons

My visit was very pleasant. Office nice and clean. Everyone so nice and polite. Dr. Bakker was very patient, explain what was going on with my sleep test. He’s such a happy person, cause the smile shows it. My appointment was excellent, from the time I got there to finish. I would recommend my friends and family to this office.

I was referred to Dr. Bakker from another physician for sleep apnea management. I also happen to get migraine headaches, although at the time of my initial visits to Dr. Bakker, they were under control. Dr. Bakker did provide timely care for my sleep apnea, referring me for a new mask that would be more comfortable to wear. That being said, the majority of the time spent during our Telehealth visits were focused on the pharmaceutical management of my migraines, per his management of the discussion during the visit. He insisted on prescribing MULTIPLE prescriptions for me to "try". I was clear in communicating that my migraines were manageable and that I did not need all those prescriptions, which he said I could try in any order or combination that I preferred. I even asked if there were any contraindications to taking multiple medicines at once and he said no. I can't imagine that to be true. When I told him I was not interested in trying a bunch of medications at once, his response was that he had already sent them in to my insurance company for pre-authorization, typing as I spoke. The next time I visiting my local pharmacy, the pharmacist came out to tell me that I had many prescriptions from a Dr. Bakker. I informed the pharmacist that I did not want these prescriptions. The pharmacist communicated that this was not the first time she had seen this situation from this doctor. I cancelled my next follow-up appointment with Dr. Bakker letting the receptionist know the reasons as I stated in this review. I received a certified letter a few days ago from Dr. Bakker stating that he "found it necessary to discontinue my care". The irony of receiving this letter after I already left the practice is not lost on me. Dr. Bakker was not unkind during our visits but clearly is motivated by the business side of dispensing pharmaceuticals with little regard of the patient's wishes.

Visits with Dr. Bakker are always pleasant and helpful. He is very responsive to the patients needs. The portal and virtual visits are easy to access. I actually prefer the virtual appointment . His assistant, Linda, responds quickly to medication issues and consistently gives me a follow-up call. I couldn’t ask for anything better.

He never wanted to help me, he only wanted to push me into a sleep study test which is at a location which he owns part of so he could get more money. From the beginning he kept bringing it up over and over again. I finally said yes because if anything it should note my elevated heart rate which was in the 160's which he lied and said was normal! I wasted over a year of my life with this thief. He told me that I couldn't have a chronic illness because I wasn't losing weight ... seriously? Ignorance it is. Since switching to a competent neurologist I have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and several other related chronic illnesses. BTW not all chronic illnesses cause you to lose weight some make you gain it. This guy needs to pick up a book sometime and read the latest developments in neurology because obviously he is not staying up on his knowledge within his area. Needless to say after the sleep study I didn't bother seeing him again and I did get rude with him because he was saying I needed surgery for a very mild sleep apnea which I didn't have (as confirmed by another experienced neuro) the symptoms were being caused by an illness which swells up my throat when my symptoms flared but he didn't listen to me. Of course being a nasty doctor he wrote that I was a hypochondriac in my file - sure, tell that to all the doctors who have confirmed numerous diagnosis (backed by blood work, x-rays, MRIs, CT scans) which he couldn't or didn't care to. My advice is find a competent neuro. who can read MRIs, etc they are the best because they can look at images and find out quicker what is going on with you versus just going off of what the tech says and simply ruling out one thing at a time.

Rude and disorganized staff. Appointments were canceled without notification, communication with lab, technicians and inter-office staff was non-existent. Despite numerous admitted errors causing considerable inconvenience, it was ultimately implied by the staff, that there is entirely no accountability and patients are free to seek services elsewhere if mismanaged care was unacceptable. I am legally responsible for what I write here and caution that I am being very generous in actually holding holding back criticisms of this practice.

I have been treated by Dr Bakker for the last 5 years. He keeps excellent records and listens well. He has been sucessful in treatment of my apnea and the CPAP machines they offer are modern and up to date. I sleep very well now and my wife is happy. The sales of CPAP equipment is hands free and hassle free. They are great at processing all insurance paper work. I am very satisfied with all of their sleep medicine practice so far.

He was horrible, the worst doctor I ever had. I saw him for seizures, like someone else commented, he wasn't interested in finding the reasons for the seizures, only interested in finding a drug. He had me on two drugs, they interacted with eachother, bottom line, I was admitted to the hospital for a week, almost lost my eyesight, all because he overdosed me. He really did. Do not go to him ever.
