All are friendly. Good visit. I could have been given more info on after the anesthesia wears off and how limited my being on my feet afterwards.

Spent just a few minutes with me ? Prescribed script and follow up ! On the visit sheet said we talked about eating vegetables which we never discussed ?

I visited Dr. Garrett's practice four times, two pre-operative consultations and two post-op appointments. Two of four appointments ran well-past my scheduled time, so be flexible with your schedule if you happen to book with him on a busy day. Dr. Garrett is personable and showed genuine concern for my toe issue. (We thought the bone had a tumor or growth, but it turned out to be osteo arthritis, a good thing.) He explained his thoughts and concerns to me and suggested an MRI to be sure surgery would be needed. (It was.) The surgery was punctual, clean, well-explained by the staff at USMD, the anesthesiologist, and Dr. Garrett to me to ensure why we were all there. (So as not to perform the wrong procedure.) I never felt pain from the surgery through the four weeks leading to the extraction of a "K-wire" pin which was extracted on my second post-op visit. I highly recommend Dr. Garrett should you require his services. He did better than I expected and I am completely pain-free and have full function of my toe with no side-effects.

Dr. Garrett's office staff were delightful and helpful, the office was very comfortable and I felt totally at ease from beginning to end. If I need a DPM again, Dr. Garrett will be the doctor I will call. He's pleasant and explains in detail. I'm impressed.

I will not hesitate to recommend Dr. Alan Garrett as a Foot Surgeon. I felt at ease from the first visit. Dr. Garrett takes time to explain the problem and how it can be corrected. He is gentle and kind and obviously concerned about
his patients. I am in the early stages of my recovery and am very pleased with my progress and Dr. Garrett.

I would recommend Dr Garrett to everyone. He 's easy to talk to about your problem and very quick to find the Issue. I had suffered two years with my foot and had mentioned it to several doctors. They would say you have Planter Fasciosis. Get some insoles and do these exercises. I tried everything but nothing helped. I was in Dr Garrett's office for just a few minutes and he bent my foot upward and said if you had Planter Fasciosis you would had been in severe pain when I bend your foot. He diagnosis my problem real fast. We agreed to surgery the next week and was the best thing I did for myself. Surgery went well and back to regular shoes in four weeks. Surgery on Friday and back to work on Tuesday climbing stairs to the second floor. Very happy with this Doctor and staff. No more foot pain and able to walk in comfort. Thank you so much Dr Garrett.
