The best, period. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Haydek after I was diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus years ago. His expertise is unsurpassed if you want the most qualified person in this area of medicine. He is professional, very caring of his patients, and I am thankful he is my doctor.

I was scheduled for a colonoscopy but he refused to see me since I had previously used another DR. It is his office policy to refuse treatment to any patient in need regardless of issues, because he doesn't like it when you see another GI (five years ago). I go where my insurance allows me to. Five years ago, he wasn't on my insurance list so I had to see another DR. Now he is on my list and I made an appt to see him, which was confirmed over a month ago. Less than a week before my appt the office called. He refuses to treat/see me because I used another Dr. His policy. What arrogance.

Dr. Haydeck, Karee White, NP, Jennifer RN and all the staff at GIA Associates are excellentl. For years they have treated me with utmost care, explained everything in detail, and then prescribed sound and the best treatment.

He's the best doctor I have ever gone to. Very professional, explains everything very well, treats me with respect and has really helped me with my problem. I've been to several other doctors and they didn't know what was wrong with but Dr. Haydek did.

My experience with going to Dr Haydek started when I walked in the door. The front desk staff was not friendly AT ALL. I had to tell them that I was there for an appointment with Dr Haydek, they never acknowledged my existence. Once I got into exam room, after waiting 30 minutes. Dr Haydek walked in and said fe reviewed my chart and yhere was nothing he could do to help me and I needed to go to Vanderbilt in Nashville. I ask him why and his response was : you have too many other health problems and I wouldn't touch you! I was furious. IF YOU NEED A REAL DOCTOR DONT PLAN ON TRYING TO USE.HIM. HE MUST ONLY TAKE SIMPLE EASY CASES WHERE HE JUST SHOWS UP TO DO SCOPES , COLLECTS MONEY AND IS DONE. No compassion, terrible bedside manner and can't help you if you have any thing serious!!

I saw Dr. Haydek several months ago for some worsening chronic diarrhea that had been occurring ever since my move from Atlanta.

I have had a total of 3 appointments with him; 1 preliminary visit, a colonoscopy (that I hardly remember) and a followup visit. On all three occasions, his office staff were incredibly friendly with me. Although the wait was about the same as any other doctor's office, once I met him he was very pleasant, and took plenty of time to get to know me. We talked about my symptoms in depth.

During my followup visit, he was again very friendly, and spent a lot of time explaining the findings and my diagnosis.

He is a great doctor, and I would heartedly recommend friends and family members to see him.

What a JERK. Went to see Dr. Haydek for Crohn's. I was just looking for a new doctor I didn't have any issues. He is by far the rudest doctor I have ever dealt with. He wouldn't even look at my chart or at my symptoms. He told me that he would not help me and that I should go see someone in Nashville. I live in Knoxville. I don't need a doctor in Nashville. I then asked him if he would refer me to another doctor in the group that might want to help me. He said no. That no one in the office could help me. He just told me to go to some doctor in nashville and left. He didn't even attempt to help me with anything past that. Didn't even give me contact info to the great place I should go in nashville. He was not helpful in anyway and I would not waste your time with a person like this.

I've been seeing Dr. Haydek for around 10 years for my IBS and GERD issues. He is an outstanding doctor, always pleasant, friendly, talkative, and engaging. Unlike many other doctors I've seen, he's an excellent listener, and I never feel as though he is rushing me out the door so he can move on to the next patient. I like the way that he first consults the computer upon entering the room, after greeting me, and reads through his records regarding my last visit. I've seen him a number of times on Dr. Bob's Show, and he is helpful, informative, and extremely personable--just as he is every time I see him during an appointment. I really can't say enough good things about him. He's a wonderful man and a wonderful doctor, and he's helped me immensely with the gastrointestinal problems that I have. I'll continue seeing him as long as possible, and I recommend him highly. (I also love his staff and nurses....they're all friendly and helpful.)

Takes his time with you and does not have "one hand on the door knob". Great bedside manner.
