I was really unhappy with this doctor. She spent times in my session taking outside calls (emergency with her cat, and then computer/tech problems). She complained about the cost of her medical and how lucky i was that my medical paid for her, the complained when my medical changed that the new company disrespected her as a professional by only paying her $75 an hour. When she gave me help it was, check this online site, check this psychologist, but I never felt like she was listening because she was not following up week to week on what she would ask me to do the previous week. When I felt like my time was being used by her "chatting" about her life, from not liking the traffic backup on the way home from pilates to how she would have to cover her sofa so the cat would not throw up on it, I started timing when we would start talking about me and why I was there. the worse was the 43 minute time when she was freaking out about her cat (i love cats, well my cat) which was the day I seriously needed to talk.
Maybe she though the chat sessions were her way of relating to me but, in the end, it just read to me as very unprofessional.
