Unprofessional and was making fun of my sexual orientation to the medical assistant. I was there for an IUD removal, and she was dismissive of my desire to get another one because I'm queer. It's not her decision, but I left feeling like she violated my trust because she kept refusing.

Joanna just seems aloof. I have seen her a few times and it is like she has something else on her mind. She is pretty generic.

Joanna Hagen has been my primary care provider for the last 5+ years and I think she’s fantastic. What I really appreciate about her is that she listens to me. I have mild asthma that can turn serious very quickly when I'm ill, and the doctor I saw prior to switching to this clinic just assumed he knew it all and didn't really listen to me, the patient that has dealt with this for years. I know when I'm reaching a point where I need certain medical intervention to avoid that turn to becoming really ill. For me, this usually means the use of steroids. I hate taking them, but I also know that sometimes it’s that or getting worse. My prior doctor always wanted to wait, or try something else instead and every time it was to my detriment. Since being under Joanna’s care, I haven’t had to fight to get what is needed to stop that downward spiral. I always feel like I can speak openly about any concerns I have regarding any type of treatment and I can ask questions without being made to feel stupid or bothersome.

If you are one of Alan Johnson's patients you may occasionally be directed to see Joanna Hagen when he is unavailable. I suggest finding another doctor and nurse.

Joanna Hagen is pleasant enough but is lacking in knowledge of prescription drugs. I saw her for a condition which she correctly diagnosed but she wrote a prescription that I later found out was not the full recommended course of treatment. This necessitated a visit to an emergency room which incurred significant out of pocket cost to me and a major inconvenience.

Joanna was very rude to me when I saw her continually for a back injury from a car accident. She perscribed me pain pills and avoided giving me a MRI untill a year 1/2 after my accident. When she read the the MRI she told me that I had 3 herniated discs and referred me to a neurosurgeon. Well, my Mom is a nurse and decided that I should actually go see a back specialist that she worked with in the past. I just saw him yesterday and he told me that I absolutely do not have any herniated discs and that I had 2 buldging discs and did not need surgery at all. She clearly mis-diagnosed me and made me very worried that I would need surgery. I'm very unsatisfied with her and do not reccomend her to anyone. She might want to consider going back to medical school and needs a serious attitude adjustment.
