Dr, Schechter and his staff are what you want in a doctors visit. His staff are very cordial and professional. The doctor spends as much time as you want discussing your issues. He is very knowledgeable and is happy to share. I wish all of my doctors were more like these professionals. I highly recommend his services.

I came to Dr Schechter for a surgery of my left foot, a complex procedure that included bunion and all metatarsals . After a successful right foot surgery with a different surgeon who moved out of state, I had very high expectations. Dr Schechter not only met, but exceeded my expectations. From scheduling surgery at my convenience, and setting all the arrangements in the hospital, to applying innovative surgical techniques. I also noticed Dr Schechter’s expertise on wound healing. He timed the different stages properly, used different materials, and was able to remove pins with no pain. My second foot recovered faster. Additionally, the team in his office is very friendly and organized.

I would have liked to have met the doctor but instead was told by the office manager Peggy, once I got there, had filled out patient forms/history that I needed referral. I stated that my insurance did not require a referral, so she changed her reasons. Well we don't accept that insurance (AARP/UHC). I asked why she had not let me know when I first made appt or even later before being dropped off. She shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry". I have a broken toe and simply wanted it checked. Every specialist I have ever encountered checks your insurance coverage BEFORE you come and I have often been told of referral needs or non coverage. She simply did not care. I ask why they had no such policy and Peggy stated they did not need one. I asked who would be in charge of policy change and she shrugged her shoulders and said she was and there was no need. Very cold blooded and unacceptable to a patient with a real problem. no I would not recommend this doctor for a visit. I felt it was very unprofessional.

When I went to see Dr. Schechter, I could hardly walk. He was friendly, knowledgeable and quickly determined what was wrong. His treatment and recommendations quickly got me out of pain and on a path to healthy feet. Within 2 weeks, I was able to walk 14K steps per day with no problems!

Dr Schechter and his staff are extremely caring. He treated me for my an accessory navicular bone surgery. Both doctor and his staff are well responsive to any question or concern you may have at anytime and willing to help by going an extra mile. I would recommend Dr Schechter and his office for any foot related issues and he will be my go to doctor for the same.
