Tried this office recently at the advice of a friend. A very pleasant surprise. The the doctor was great but it was the office staff that stood out. The optician, a Southern woman, was very capable, helping me find just the right frame and lenses that were very clear, with just the right amount of tint. She was also quite helpful in that she understood the details of my insurance and helped me to obtain the maximum benefit. These days that is a big plus! If you want great care and caring service this is the right choice.

The receptionist at this office is one of the rudest people I have ever met. She talks down to you as if you were stupid. If you need to call there for anything, she gives is very short and snotty on the phone. However, I do like Dr. Gregas, I think she is a good doctor. I am debating on whether or not I will go back in the future mainly because of the treatment by the receptionist. I can take my business somewhere that I am treated like a respected customer. Please note, this is not a reflection on the doctor, but a receptionist who gives that type of first impression should not be in that job.

I have read the comments of the above review. When calling Dr. Gregas's office the clearly tell you pick up's for glasses are Tuesday thru Friday 9:00-4:45 that is when you can pick up with girl that sold them to you!!!!! Office closes at 5:00!!! If you come at 4:50 the girl has already left. I have going to the office for years and have never had a problem with any of the staff. I have even stayed late with the staff to find fun colorful cool new glasses.

The doctor is pretty good however the office staff are simply awful in every way. They give you a late appointment then even though the office is not closed for another hour when it comes time to pick out your frames they are totally trying to get done early. They lie also in addition to being rude. My husband called to check the office hours and was told it closed at 4:30. I called a minute later and was told 4:00 to 4:15. I had recalled the office stayed open until 5 in the past so I said "what time does the office actually close? Then the lady admitted it was open 9 to 5 just as I had remembered. Now I know I was not imagining the rush job they give you by 4 o'clock when for the last two years there was at least an hour before closing. I at one point actually thought they were closing any minute because of the way the office staff was acting like they were ready to lock the doors and call it a day. The staff if so bad at this office that I would not recommend going to this doctor.

I too am not sure why the previous reviewer had such a bad experience but i felt compelled to share my own experience. My family has been going to Dr. Gregas since my sons were in 1st grade. They are now seniors in high school. My one son had issues with an astigmatism. Besides needing glasses, he required additional corrective actions (use of an eye patch, etc.). This lasted many years but i am happy to say that he no longer requires the use of glasses, something i soley contribute to the knowlege and approach use by Dr. Gregas. I would recommend her to anyone who has children with eye problems since that is her specialty.

I don't know why the other person had such a bad experience, but our whole family loves Dr. Gregas! She is really wonderful and has always treated us with kindness and compassion. I have very strange eye "issues" and many docs have not been able to figure them out. She has always known what to do, what prescription to put me in, and when to refer me out to a specialist. She and her staff have also worked with us when we needed to buy glasses, but couldn't afford full price. They also, by far, have the best and most unique selection of frames that I have ever seen. We first went to her because she takes straight Medicaid and Medicaid HMOs, but I will continue going to her when my insurance changes. I trust her 110% percent with my eye care and the eye care of my family. She really is awesome!!

I went to this office with my child because it was in network. The doctor did a literal 5 minute exam on my child who wears glasses. She did not tell my child or myself what the result of the exams were ie explain the changes to her vision test from last year. When I asked she gave me two numbers and smirked not explaining what they meant. I will never go back there as they were terrible compared to other places we have been. Went down the road to another store immediately after we left and got excellent service. The doctor there spent more time with us. They helped us pick out a great pair of glasses for a couple hundred dollars less. I would not recommend this doctor as she took no time with me or my child.
