Spent a great deal of time reviewing my mother’s condition with me, including details of medications. Never rushed, very efficient and just plain smart. It was a pleasure.

Dr. Elyn Ring is cheerful, but does not have up-to-date knowledge. She frequently refers you to a specialist for minor health issues; she doesn't follow-up on a specialist's reports; she is very quick to order an MRI; if you have even border-line hypertension-yet controled or cholesterol-controled, she requires to have an office visit with her (every three months, which if your co-pay is high can amount to a lot of money). Wait time of 30 min to an hour is not unusual. She is now part-time, so is not always accessible. Her office staff is not competent. I would not recommend her to anyone.

As a healthcare professional myself, I appreciate Dr.Ring's homeopathetic approach. She prefers other measures of primary therapy over medications as a first option. Clinically she is aware if an issue is beyond her scope of practice and will not hesitate to defer to a specialized doctor. I like that she comes across as a caring human being.

Dr. Ring is friendly but not incredible knowledgeable. When serious treatment was needed she backed away and was unwilling to help solve the problem even though her involvement was critical to solve a serious medical issue. Left the patient "hanging" without assistance. I would not recommend her.
