Fusion of L4 to L5 to S1; removed damaged disks. Dr. Sungarian was straight to the point when explaining my MRI to my wife and I. He answered all our questions and was comforting and reassuring the day of surgery. After recovering from the surgery I no longer have pain or numbness in my legs, no longer have to straighten myself when I stand up, and can walk/sit/stand for long periods without pain. His office nurses, receptionist, and PA are amazing. I cannot recommend more, or thank him enough.

Dr Sungarian was recommended to perform back surgery. Upon review he felt the diagnoses may not be accurate and scheduled an additional test that indicated the nerve problem was in my elbow and not the back. He immediately scheduled the surgery around my schedule. He is very good with patients and feels surgery is only considered after a complete understanding of the problem has been accomplished.

Waited 1 hour and 15 min. Wanted a 2nd opinion from him regarding a lower back problem. He just rushed my wife and I thru the appointment like it didn't matter. Gave us paperwork to fill out to schedule surgery. Wouldn't recommend him at all!

I went to Dr Sungarian with a rare injury, he was very helpful at explaining what us was, and told me he could not fix it, nor did he know anyone except for one dr that would even try. He said it wouldn't be worth the risk. He was nice right to the point and very intelligent.

I've read the reviews of Dr Sungarian and feel my experience might balance some of the negativity. True, he is not interested in chat or providing a relationship. But after a year of steadily increasing pain and disability that my PCP was indifferent to, Dr Sungarian operated on my back and fused two discs. Relief was immediate and long-lasting.

I had no idea what my recovery would be like or how long it would take. Fortunately, the hospital hooked me up with Visiting Nurses. They were great! They made up for the total lack of follow-up by Sungarian.

It was a scary and uncertain experience. But Sungarian repaired me, the VNA got me back on my feet. That, for me, proved a winning combination.

I have never had a worse experience. The office manager was great, but the surgeon and surgeon's assistant were rude and dismissive. I am okay with decisions made, but experienced zero empathy or explanation on what my next steps should be. I was in the examination room for exactly 3 minutes. The surgeon poked his head in the door stating he couldn't stay and btw we are not doing surgery. I was left with the assistant who would not answer my questions. I guess expecting respect and a decent bedside manner is out of fashion. It makes me sad.

Rude, inconciderate. He has no regards to your feelings. Follow up care is even worse. I waited 4 hours for an appointment and he never showed up. I needed follow up care after surgery and he told me to go elsewhere there wasn't anything he could do for my pain, then he walked out of his office and left me airing there.

Dr Sungarian performed a spinal fusion on me and I haven't felt this good in years. He may not be the most talkative, but he gets the job done. I would recommend him to anyone that needs spine surgery.
