Dr. Venkatesh was very kind and compassionate towards by father and helped make the stressful time of transition from office patient to dialysis patient much more bearable. She is clearly very well-trained and spent time to answer our questions and ease our concerns. Her nurse Connie is fantastic and always answered our phone calls promptly and put us in touch with the doctor when we needed her. I would recommend this doctor highly to anyone who has kidney problems.

This doctor saw my mother on Thursday, ignored her complaints about hardness in her abdomen (said that's your bladder, not your kidneys), and sent her home with "stable" kidneys. Saturday morning (1 and 1/2 days after seeing this doctor), I found my mother collapsed on the floor, unable to walk and hardly able to speak. I had to call an ambulance to take her to the ER where she then spent four nights in the hospital. Her obstructed bladder had been putting pressure on her kidneys for weeks (we had to wait two months to even get the appointment). Her creatinine level was sky-high and her blood sugar had bottomed out. If I hadn't been home, she would have lost consciousness and suffered serious kidney damage and maybe even died. As one other review noted, the doctor spoke to my mother for about 15 minutes. This doctor acted carelessly and irresponsibly and should be sued. As a matter of fact, I might just do that.

My visits with this doctor lasted no more than 10 minutes each time. She was unhelpful and didn't seem to care to find out the cause of my problems. Absolutely one of the worst physicians I have ever seen.

The staff are usually rude to me and the doctor is in and out, making it difficult to have questions answered adequately. It is also difficult to make appointments. I had to have another doctor call 4 times before Dr. V's office would make arrangements to see me in a timely manner.
