I really like Dr Alkhersam! I switched to him last year b/c my old dr just came in, asked how the meds were working, & that was it! Dr Alkhersam actually does an exam, & LISTENS, which is not something I've had much experience w/ related to dr's. I always take a list of ?'s for him, & he never makes me feel like I'm a burden. The last time I saw him, I actually teared up b/c he didn't just chalk all of my symptoms up to being side effects of my meds, or think I was imagining things, instead, after listening & talking w/ me, he scheduled the appropriate tests. I have & will continue to recommend him to anyone! His nurse (although sometimes quick & to the point) is very quick w/ call backs & rx call ins!!

The staff is cold and mechanical. There is a glass window that they keep closed and separates you from the staff. You have to tap on it to talk to them. They slide it open and look like you're bothering them. They act like they don't want any contact with the patients in the waiting room. If you call the office, prepare to be on hold for a long time, but I think that's better than getting lost in a phone tree. As a new patient I was asked to review and sign a form that listed all the things the doctors office would NOT do for me. Mostly RX related, but still it was so negative. I wasn't there to get meds. It even said, DON'T LIE TO THE ANSWERING SERVICE. Huh? That was really insulting to me. The doctor is nice enough, seems to be knowledgeable. But doesn't seem to speak english that well, so I will probably find another doc. If you can't connect with the doc or the staff, it's really not good. Just don't feel like they really care about their patients.
