I've had nothing but horrible experiences with neurologists. When I was referred to her I prayed that I may finally get a doctor who would listen to me. Dr. Thomas took her time to listen to me and my husband, answer our questions and didn't doubt what we told her about my side effects with all my medications I've tried. At the end she gave me a hug. Can't say enough good things about her!!

I have been searching for a movement disorder doctor for some time to help me with Parkinson's Disease management so was very happy to find Dr Thomas. I found her to be very attentive and professional, and her staff to be caring and knowledgeable.

I have had nothing but problems with Dr. Thomas. She seems very distracted and unattentive. She doesn't seem to listen or care about what you have to say or your concerns. I was referred to an additional specialist by her and she did not even forward any info or records to them. When I brought this to her attention she became very defensive and suggested that I may need to find another Neurologist because she hasn't been feeling well and left the room, sending the front office staff to make excuses for her negligence. Next visit, new front office staff? She seems to be playing guessing games with my brain and prescribing me medication after medication with no answers or solutions.

she does not like you to ask questions about your treatment. Her staff is cold and unprofessional. She is subject to hasty conclusions based on little or no evidence. She must have a lot of problems and demons in her life. Something is wrong with this doctor.

Dr. Thomas is wonderful. You will be pressed to find a better neurologist in movement disorders. She is honest & has an excellent bedside manner. She has extensive expertise. Since moving to Bedford & staring her own practice however the quality of her staff has declined. Front office staff are difficult to reach. Billing staff told me I would be unable to see the doctor because of a old 35$ copay that I didn't know was unpaid. I told them I could pay for my current co-pay but could not afford to pay a total of 70$ that day. I explained I'd been in the hospital, lost my job, just finished 8 weeks of physical therapy, & was paying 504$ a month for COBRA out of my savings w/ no income. The billing person talked over me. I told her please do not talk over me. She then told me they can hardly keep their doors open & she wasn't going to argue w/ me- she would talk to her boss in the morning & I could come in but there was no guarantee I would be seen..... all over an old 35.00 copay.

They charged for the facility(Baylor) also which was a big surprise. If we had known then we could have pre notified and not have a deductible. The Doctor was not familiar with my condition. She did do genetic testing and tried to help. She has not followed up with us about contacting another Dr. she had worked with in Houston.

Dr. Thomas is an expert. She clearly knows her field. When I walked in she was already assessing me. She took the time to listen to all my concerns, explain everything to me, and get my feedback. I have had treatments from many different neurologists, and she is one of the best. When I had insurance problems, her office staff as well as Dr. Thomas herself helped me in getting alternative arrangements from one of the pharmaceutical companies. Only a truly compassionate doctor would do something like that (filling out detailed paperwork). If you suffer from a movement disorder or Parkinson's then you would be hard pressed to find a doctor who could surpass her level of experience, talent, knowledge and quality bedside manner. She is now at Baylor Health. And Jodi, her assistance is wonderful. The website is: http://www.baylorhealth.com/PhysiciansLocations/physfind/Pages/Physician.aspx?pid=11140570#

Very knowledgeable and intelligent. Very thorough and detail oriented. Great at explaining things and telling you what she is thinking. Will tell you if she feels you have deteriorated, plateaued, or doing better. Conservative/discretionary use of medication, likes to keep you off of as many as she can for as long as she can. Great bedside manner- she wants to know that you are doing well. Her assistant Jodi is always joyful/helpful prompt to return phone calls and take care of problems, concerns, and requests. She is worth the hours I drive to see her every six months and has been great to coordinate care from a distance.

Extremely knowledgeable in her field, obviously extremely intelligent. Does not listen, uses her intelligence to get to conclusions without enough patient input.
