"Alexander Lopez-Alvar, M.D., specializes in Internal Medicine at Conviva Cutler Bay, where he leads a team of compassionate professionals who provide patient-focused care with a dedication to medical excellence. Dr. Lopez-Alvar completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, 1991-1994. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida in 1991. He received a Bachelor of Arts/ Science from the University of Miami as well in 1982. Dr. Lopez-Alvar is affiliated with Baptist Hospital of Miami, Jackson South Hospital, Miami, the American Board of Hospital Physicians, and Conviva Physicians Group in Miami, Florida. He enjoys tennis, boating, and cycling, and he is active with the Special Olympics. Dr. Lopez-Alvar has been recognized through the NCQA’s Diabetes Recognition Program (DPR).
