Dr Streeten is open- minded, and is a decent endocrinologist, but I would never, ever refer anyone to her with concerns of CTD or mito, or really any genetic issue. She gives a great first impression, then it is nearly impossible to ever contact her in person again. If she can't find an endo connection to a genetic disorder, good luck ever getting any followup or further interest, or even referrals. She offers to follow up via email, and that's it. Deplorable admin staff in adult genetics. Really not even passably competent. Dr. Streeten herself is very smart and kind, and I don't expect her to know everything about every disease, but the lack of follow-up or referrals after confirming serious neuroendocrine disease is alarming and borders on malpractice. University of Maryland needs to give her better support staff so she can be a better clinician.
