My first time meeting with DR Ryan and I brought my daughter with me to also ask questions. We have both determined that he gave no info that we wanted to learn and started with you have lymphoma which I have known for some time and why I was here meeting with this type of DR. I asked about the BLC3 gene and he said he did not have that info but it was right on St Luke`s site. So guess he NEVER prepared prior to my appt. He said we are are going to start with chemo. I then said everything I read says that gene is a double hit lymphoma and it has a resistance to chemo. He talked in circles from there on. You can find this info on the cancer society. How do I know this and he does not? He was non caring, offered no information, bad bedside manner, could not answer simple questions and to top it all off when he left for me to change he knocked rapidly twice and before I could even say I am not dressed he walked in the room while I was not done pulling my pants up. Extremely beyond rude for a man to just barge in like that. I am so offended by his approach. How about knock, knock are you dressed yet? I am so appalled by this behavior, Do not go here unless you want your male DR to barge in when you are not dressed. I waited a long time to see an oncologist/hematologist to understand my type of cancer and honestly wasted a 30.00 copay to walk out there totally frustrated and with zero info about my condition. So glad my daughter was with me because neither one of us liked this guy at all. I should get a refund for wasting my day and having more knowledge than a professional DR. The woman Donna at the desk was the only bright spot as she was very kind and set up my tests with a great attitude. I knew she knew I was not happy with this DR when I asked about other DR`s in this group and she said he is the only one. UGH will be looking for a new DR bc I am not going back there. Worst Dr visit of my life and I am 64 yrs old.

I have been seeing Doc Ryan for over 15 years. He has been a great doctor for me. He has helped me and my family a number of times. I visit him every year for my annual check up. He is a patient man and treats me with respect. Something I cannot say I have had with all Doctors in Ottawa.

Dr. Ryan is the best. We have been seeing him for over 2 years now and he is so caring, communicative and available. We would not have gotten through this epic part of our lives without his guidance and his staff. I say we because we are a team (my husband and I) and my husband is the patient. He never forgets this is a family affair.

Dr. Ryan is a very caring doctor. He takes his time with you and explains everything in simple terms. I have been a patient of Dr. Ryan's since July and I know I am getting the best care. There is a young, personable girl in his office that always goes the extra mile to help with prescription costs and coverage. Thank you to him and Danelle for always making me feel better.

Office visits are very fast, not the most friendly but then again it is a tough field of medicine
