I had a colonoscopy a little over a year ago. 6 months later, I get a letter in the mail saying, "Oops! Dr. Miller was your anesthesiologist for your colonoscopy, but somehow we got mixed up and he's not covered under your insurance plan. You owe us $2,700.00." I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this. I called my insurance, I called the gastrointestinal doctor's office, I called the facility the colonoscopy was performed, NOBODY will help me. Today I got a collections letter in the mail from this doctor. DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO WORK WITH YOU. I think he lied, knew that he had a patient (me) who was not in his network, and performed the procedure anyway. I don't know what I'm going to do.
