After a fistulagram, I went home and felt in my dialysis access. I went back to the hospital, and his nurse could neither feel a pulse or hear a pulse with a stethoscope. The nurse was able to detect a faint pulse with the use of ultrasound. The nurse called the doctor and he told her, as long as there was a pulse it was okay. Within 24 hours of that time I had a clotted graft. According to the satff it should had been handled differently. I also feel that this should have been handled differently, if it would have been the graft may not have clotted. It is much easier to clear a poorly working graft than a clotted one.
