We had a terrible experience with this Dr. After being released from the hospital with shingles my wife went to see Dr. Byrd for a follow up. She had been unable to sleep and was in excruciating pain from the rash. Instead of listening to her or I he immediately started talking over us and asking questions but not giving us time to answer before he answered his own questions. Because she just wanted some relief from the pain and itching of the rash he basically said she was pill shopping and threw us out of the office and told us not to come back. Now she had been his patient approximately 2 years and this was only the second time he saw her. She saw his nurse practitioner the rest of the time, so he did not know anything about her. After we left he also noted on her medical records she was a pill shopper. I would not let my dog go to him.

He has been my dr. for a long time and was really great! But something has changed and he's totally different! I came in with a blood sugar reading of 39. I am type 2 diabetic., I was very shakey He said I wanted attention and that no one ever died from low blood sugar. He also asked if I wanted him to put me in a hospital to deal with mental issues. This is not like him. Something must be going on with him and he doesn't realize. He is a good Christian man He is also a very caring man. Hopefully soon Our Dr Byrd will be back to normal and I pray that it will be very
soon!

We waited over an hour to get called back and we were the only ones in the waiting room. About 15 min later Dr came in and was in the room for 5 min. Once he left we waited another 40 min to get med and lab. I would hate to see if they were busy. Please go to another Dr don't waste your time.

Dr. Byrd is completely unprofessional and has proved to be a completely incompetent medical professional. After receiving x-rays showing curvature of my spine which are leading to significant pain, Dr. Bryd, handing me these results, states that my back is completely straight and medically I am fine. However, he states that he can refer me to a pain specialist. This deeply concerns me that a medical doctors, with proof in his hands, has no idea what he is doing or how to care for patients. I would strongly NOT recommend Dr. Byrd for any of your medical needs.

I had an asthma attack in the office. Someone sprayed a lot of air scent because I got sick in the bathroom. They wanted to roll me out of the office and sit in the parking lot. It was very hot outside. I refused to go outside. Dr. Byrd got mad at me because I said, "I just want to get this over with and go home". After that, I was just rushed. I went to show him my list of complaints and he would not look at it, he never listened to my lungs, (I have COPD) and he told me my arthritis, dry skin and pain in my feet is from my diabetes medicine. He then told me to double my diabetes medication. He did not have my chart with him, computerized or old fashioned paper, and said my blood test were good, handed me the results and left the room. When I got home, and looked at the results, I was H (high) on seven lines. This man is a menace to sick people.

He was rude and unhelpful. The wait was long and in the short amount of time he did see us, he spent it mocking my teenage daughter's condition. The staff was nice, however.

I don't care how much I paid. That shouldn't even be a question for the rating. I didn't pay $0 because I am poor. I actually work as an MA a another Drs office. His staff seemed ok to me. They weren't rude, but when my 10 years od son came in with a buring penis he laughed it off, an wouldn't listen to what I had to say to him about it. He skipped off to the next patient. That was more than 7 months ago with a promise of a referral that I never got. I called to remind them about it, but never recieved a call back. I will be switched my sons doctor asap. Almost a year with no referral, and they didnt even call me to tell me about my sons very first blood test. He wasn't professional AT ALL! I will never take my son there again, and I have actually taken out other insurance, so he will never have to see a man like this again. Grow up, and be a professional. You were rude to a child, and that is why peopel are afraid of doctors!!!!!!!!!!!!
