I have been seeing Dr. Vivian Rodriguez for many years and she is the only Endocrinologist I will see because no other doctor give me the correct diagnosis. Dr. Rodriguez is extremely knowledgeable in her field and that is why I seek her expertise only.

Reading some of the negative comments here I wonder if we have the same doctor and staff. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Rodriguez and her staff. She is so attentive and knows everything and everyone. I have never had this quality of care. I don't know what I'd do without her. I've never had an issue getting a call back from the staff. I truly think Dr. Rodriguez is AMAZING.

Great doctor, she saved my life catching my condition when no other doctor noticed. She is very nice and communicates in a straight forward manner that informed me of my condition without bias or noise.

Dr Rodriguez is an outstanding endocrinologist with well-developed clinical skills and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the basic endocrine and metabolic sciences. She is Board Certified in Clinical Endocrinology. The communication issues that one has with the office are largely a consequence of the technology that has been "mandated" in the evolution from paper medical records to electronic medical records. The medical EMR systems are vastly inferior in recording knowledge and patient information; they do not fit well into the optimal physician-patient relationship. Dr Rodriguez is very busy and in a real sense a victim of the transition to electronic medical record keeping. The quality time she spends with her patients is extremely valuable. Treasure this and be tolerant of any wait-time because she is exceptionally worthy. I am a former Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism and this review represents a "hard" view of Dr Rodriguez's practice. She has cared for my extremely complex condition for 6 years with many outstanding innovations.

Great doctor - I was able to lose over 40lbs using the medications she prescribed for my PCOS. But I'm beyond frustrated with the inability to communicate w/ doctor or staff, once I walk out of her office. Rarely can you ever talk to a 'real person'.... callers/patients are forced into ONLY being able to leave messages --which are not even returned! Their message recording asks that you allow 24-48 hours for call-backs, & they stress that you NOT leave more than one message. But after you wait the 24-48 hours......still no call back! So you have to call again! It's impossible to have even the slightest communication....simple questions answered --or even a prescription refilled. Plus their recording states their hours, but they switch off early to their after-hours service (another roadblock) . So so frustrating.

I have been going to Dr. Rodriguez for five years now. She saved my life by diagnosing me with a thyroid condition. (She was the only doctor who caught it.) Her staff is helpful and very competent. I have recommended Dr. Rodriguez to friends and will continue to do so.

I was referred to Dr. Rodriguez by my OBGYN. I won't be referring her to any of my friends or family. And, I have alerted my OBGYN of Dr. Rodriguez's mannerisms. Wait time is atrocious, to the point that I demanded for my records (a fee of $35 for two visits and not even a folder). I believe she is very knowledgeable (and speaks Spanish) and once she meets with you, spends quality time. But, I can't say she is worth it. For one, her staff is incompetent. This includes not calling a day ahead of time as a reminder (nor will they, NEVER answering the phones, or providing call-backs for results of tests. And, when they do finally get a hold of you giving results for the wrong tests. Their sense of sympathy is null especially when delivering "news" and they referred me to contact my OBGYN. So, all the while, this has been a waste of my time, money, and emotion. Last but not least, did I mention that they sent my appointments to a wrong address. Again, completely incompetent.
