Don’t go here. Worst narcissist ever and my pain was not managed well. I had no say so in my ‘management’ of my body. Staff are puppets, and they had a high turnover of staff when I attended. The bills for the UA were exorbitant and they used their own ‘lab’ right next door that they owned! Suffice it to say I was disgruntled but with good reason. Dude walked out of my appointment time, gives 4-6 min of time. Total BS.

Dr. Patterson likes to talk about 'evidence based medicine.' Upon looking over the studies he relies on, I found they were biased, used flawed methodology, and the selection of the study groups were manipulated to produce the outcomes the researchers desired. These flawed studies, now being discredited among reputable scientists were, nevertheless, used to justify ordering a course of PT that was completely inappropriate for a patient with my diagnosis. Not only that, the order sent to the Physical Therapy office had the wrong diagnosis, one there was no evidence for whatsoever. Patient input is not valued. This is a doctor in practice less than 10 years. One hopes that time and experience will improve his ability to differentiate between patients and pay attention to the needs of individuals rather than relying on the cookie cutter model of medical practice that assumes every patient will respond to his favored treatments and those who don't are either suffering from a mental problem or a drug seeker. One of the worst examples of a God complex I've seen in a doctor, ever. ME/CFS patients, in particular, should avoid him at all costs. They should be aware he will attempt to force people with this diagnosis into Graded Exercise Therapy which is now (finally) being exposed for the sham it is for patients with this diagnosis. Those at a very mild level of disability may benefit from this treatment but it is not only useless for anyone who has progressed beyond that stage of disease but is known to cause relapse among moderately ill, moderately severe ill, and severely ill patients. His attitude towards those who question his dogmatic belief in his approach are treated with disrespect and derision. I do believe he might be an effective pain management practitioner for patients suffering injuries after accidents or for those with chronic back or neck pain and conditions such as that but I would advise patients with Chronic Regional Pain Syndromes, ME/CFS, or Fibromyalgie to avoid him at all costs. Unlike other reviews I've seen, I found the staff to be kind and caring.

He seems to be in too much of a hurry and treats everyone as drug seekers.

I arrived ten minutes early for my first ever appt. Upon arrival, the front office clerical asked if I brought my paperwork. I answered no and she began rolling her eyes. (my injury and history had been reviewed by Dr. Patterson prior to his PA, Kim calling to schedule my first appt. She did not advise me at that time or ever to complete pre-appointment paperwork). Kim and the clerical were giggling as they returned my case file and cancelled my appt. Anyone who has ever received long-term care for anything understands that the clerical staff has a major impact on your overall experience). If the staff is that rude and unprofessional the first time you see them, I can only imagine how they treat established patients! I doubt the physicians whose income is being negatively affected by the behavior of the staff would think it is so funny. I won't return. Also, the front office is dirty.
