7 years ago I saw Dr.Sherman for my first pregnancy. He was angry I refused an induction of labor. During my labor, he told me he would check my cervix but actually broke my water as I screamed for him to stop. He gave me pitocin without my knowledge or consent. He cut my daughters cord immediately without asking my husband if he wanted to do it. I was left emotionally traumatized from his abusive behavior.

I could write a book on why I would NEVER use this gyno again but I’ll save you the reading. Extremely unprofessional, visits are rushed for no reason, lied about my insurance not allowing certain birth controls to be covered, called me on his personal cell phone berating me for a mistake my insurance made. I had no choice to use this gyno only because it was my last option for birth control. Round trip to his office and back took me an hour for an office visit that lasted less than 10 minutes. Refused to refill my birth control prescription without an office visit. Only thing that ever went on during an office visit was him asking “is everything ok?” Just to be sent on my way. Was told he found abnormal cells during a pap, demanded to do a cryofreeze procedure on me. A month afterwards I began noticing symptoms of endometriosis. Told me I needed continuous birth control and demanded I use the depo provera even after I told him I had a bad reaction to it previously. Went on depo provera and my hair fell out in chunks. Finally he switched me back on the birth control pill and told me I needed to take it continuously, skip the placebo and pay out of pocket for my third month of pills. Told me my next visit he would tell my insurance that it was medically needed for constant birth control because of endometriosis and my insurance would cover it that way. Next visit he said he couldn’t send it through my insurance that way and I was asking him to do something illegal. I mentioned to him what he told me at the last visit and he gave me an attitude. Has given me unneeded breast exams ( I shouldn’t have to have a breast exam every six months right?) totally unprofessional, apparently he is banned from practicing in Newton memorial hospital due to malpractice. His office is shared by a foot doctor. His staff seems to be replaced every few months, some are nice and some are equally as rude and unpleasant as Dr. Sherman. Steer clear of this gyno, no matter how badly you need a gyno. Even planned parenthood is better, and that’s hard for me to say. I will never EVER step a foot in this mans office ever again. He does not deserve to practice gynecology

Dr Sherman has been really kind and thorough with my chronic health problems. He's figured out how to help me with something that my rheumatologist, pcp and cardiologist couldn't figure out. He's always very pleasant and down to earth.

No only was I a patient of Dr. Sherman but I had the misfortune of working for him for a short time..he is unethical unprofessional and does illegal activities..does not care for his patients only about doing pelvic exams and billing insurance company's he is rude and a liar I would never recommend him to anyone..my daughter and I will be seeing a different gyn..be ware he is under investigation billing insurance company's with out even seeing the patient

Terrible doctor, will never go back! Lied to me about a test I had and then wouldn't talk to my insurance company. He said it was illegal to do as a doctor. Which I know is completely not true.

Total quack doc. Will never step foot in there again. His poor receptionist was also the nurse. He was creepy and I'm not an idiot--everything he told me was nonsense.

This man is a butcher! He illegally assaulted women with a Medication that put them into labor. His license is revoked in PA. He is prohibited from doing surgery on anyone! All rights and privelages from NJ hospitals revoked.!

He gave me an unneeded csection claiming my daughter was to big and would break her shoulder if I have birth naturally. Mind you she was only 7lbs 10oz. He only did the c section because the doctors were about to switch hours and wanted the money. And then he prescribed me antibiotics not telling me what they were for and I ended up speaking to another doctor at the practice he uses to work at who stated that my insision scar sounded infected due to the information that I was explaining to him. And he stated that Dr. Sherman must have known that I had an infection but didn't say anything and just prescribed me the medicine. Not a good Dr. Avoid if you can.

he ruined my life! he gave me a 4th degree episiotomy and a rectal vaginal fistula. Spent 2 hours on the bed I gave birth on while he sewed muscles tissue to skin tissue and left the fistula open. Had to go back in a week later to have a specialists & reconstructive surgeons fix everything he fucked up. I have life long permanent damage and can never ever have a vaginal birth again! And he yanked my daughter out so hard he cause nerve damage to her arm and it was paralyzed for a month. He was also very rough during all my pelvic exams (which he did every time I had an appointment.) We tried to file a lawsuit against him but it harder then it looks to prove malpractice. Please do yourself and your baby a favor and see a different doctor!!
Also my daughter wasn't big, just 7lbs 1oz and I was only 37 weeks along.

I agree with the last review. Being a physician myself, this man is not a good doctor. Worst office visit I've ever experienced. Ever! Complete lack of bedside manner, speaks without making appropriate eye contact, and lack of communication skills. Completely insensitive in regards to the female anatomy, not sure how this guy is still a practicing doctor. Do yourself a favor and go see a physician who cares and will treat you with dignity and respect.
