Very very unresponsive. Says email is the best way to reach her but then does not reply. Finally responds to say she is out of the office for a week, which she had not mentioned previously. Not someone I would trust with anyone's mental health.

My ex-wife and I spoke to Dr Alvarez during the pandemic via Zoom to discuss a situation with our six-year-old daughter. I contacted her for a follow-up 6 months later and then again one year later and received absolutely no response whatsoever. I find this very unprofessional. Having grown up the son of a doctor, I can't imagine that he or any of his colleagues would ever treat a client this way

Beware of Mary A. Alvarez. She neglects to validate her information and write reports based on things she creates and no longer remembers. Stay away unless you want your life ruined. She will cost you thousands and thousands of dollars because of her reporting techniques. Many more people should complain to the medical board. She should be stripped of her license for making false claims.

Beware of Dr Alvarez she is horrible she puts very vulnerable children in harms way she recommends children to go to their documented abusers. She fabricates testimony and evidence. She has done it in atleast five cases recommends children to convicted domestic violence abusers despite evidence of convictions and abuse. She misquotes the children and therapists. She ruins lives and destroys and totally damages and traumatizing children and victims of domestic abuse.

Do not go to this doctor! She does not know the truth if it hit her with a 2x4!!

Was excellent with all of the children in high conflict divorce. She helped us navigate a very difficult coparenting situation, gave me advice and resources on minimizing their focus on drama and need to tattle tale all the injustices from both homes. Highly recommend!!!
