Dr. Nixon and his staff are so nice, friendly and helpful. Most of all they are efficient, timely, and caring. When you’re dealing with your eyes, you want the best, the most knowledgeable, as well as technicians and doctors who are understanding of your concerns and not dismissive. Dr. Nixon and his staff fit the bill. I have a neighbor who also goes to Austin Retina Associates and has received fantastic care.

Dr. Nixon is one of the most competent, compassionate specialists that I have ever had for a physician. He is very thorough in explaining the situation - no matter how dire it may seem at the time to a frightened patient. I have literally trusted him with my eyesight and cannot express how highly I regard him as a retina specialist and how thankful I am that he was the doctor referred to me when I needed excellent care.

I have been going to Dr. Nixon for six years after having moved to the hill country from the Lubbock area where I had been seeing a retina doctor there. He is genuinely interested in his patients and has a great bed side manner when you are in his office. In the past year he has performed two surgeries, one on each eye, and both went great. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has an issue with their retina or other eye problems. My quality of live has improved greatly due to him.

Dr. Nixon is one of the most competent and compassionate physicians I know. He takes time to listen to his patients and I never feel that he is in a rush during my office visits. Due to macular degeneration, I have been seeing Dr. Nixon on a regular basis for six years and he has treated me with the utmost kindness during all of those years. I highly recommend Dr. Nixon. Three years ago I began to develop a retina problem and was referred to Dr. Nixon. He has cared for me since that time changing what felt like a hopeless condition into a much improved, fully functioning state. He is extremely competent and caring. I feel very fortunate to be in his care.
