I have been a patient of Dr. Muthuswamy for 4 years. I believed her to be a good doctor. I know that she is not. I had major surgery in January by a surgeon who Dr. Muthuswamy had referred me to,. I had to see Dr. Muthuswamy five days out from the hospital for a condition related to the surgery. I was extremely sick when I say her. Nevertheless, I received inappropriate and unprofessional treatment at this visit. She wrote a prescription that could have harmed me, she failed to treat and properly diagnose some of my medical issues. I later learned that she had failed to keep and accurately document my medical records (I lost my husband in March of 2017, but she documented that I was married and feels safe at home at my January, 2018 visit. She also documented that I was alert and generally well when I saw her and was so sick). The day after my visit with her, I sent her a MyChart message asking if we could talk about some of the issues. She shared the message with her business manager. She did not have the courage or compassion to call me herself, but rather had her business manager call me and cancel my care with her. I have never consented for anyone but a clinician to see my medical information. I had no primary physician eleven days after having had surgery and my right to have my medical information kept confidential was violated. I would not refer anyone to this doctor. I have given her the lowest rating possible on three of the scales, however I gave her the best on the "Puncuality" scale. She always had time to take me and I believe it is because she has very few patients (see her appointment calendar).

One of the worst doctors ever. Simply, she's just mean and unconcerned for "out of the ordinary" health issues. I'm sure she would be fine if you have a cold, but if you have a medical mystery, she's uninterested in helping/figuring out what's wrong. Horrible bedside manner.

Lovely doctor. She sat next to me and looked over my notes with me. Always on time. Uses laptop computers in each exam room to record information. Great staff.

Listens to patient and involves them in treatment. Types prescriptions (less likely to get the wrong medication this way)

For the amount of time scheduled, appears quite conscientious. Will be interesting to see her in future with more experience. A very pleasing personality.
