Dr. Spero is extremely knowledgeable and is very dedicated with his patients. He has a way of helping patients improve in such a way that very few doctors do. He is also very straightforward and will tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear. He is a great person and in my opinion, he is the best in his field. I had therapy for almost 4 years with another therapist and he was never able to accomplish what Dr. Spero has accomplished with me in only a few months.

When I first met Dr. Spero, he welcomed be with open arms and a smile on his face. Every appointment I’ve had with him felt more of a friendly conversation rather than a psychological evaluation. As a teenager, he was quick to gain my trust (which isn’t easy for any teen). What surprised me the most was we had a couple common interest, we instantly kicked it off. Not only is he an amazing person, he’s incredible at his job, keeping things lively with a couple jokes and stories, to understanding right away the strengths and weaknesses of a person. I promise, every session you have with him will keep you looking forward to the next. Dr. Spero isn’t only incredible at his job, but a wonderful human being.

Dr Spero admittedly says that he is usually going to be late to the appointment times. However, this should not give him a "pass" as we all have things going on in our lives. In addition, prepare to have at least one appointment per month to be canceled for various reasons.

Regardless, if I am trying to get help for my own accountability in my life, how can he continue to be late to every single appointment or cancel them altogether? It's unfortunate because he has a lot of credentials but the lack of respect to my time should be equally important.

I've been seeing Dr Spero for about 4 months. Ever since calling his office back in December He & his staff have been very professional. He is unbiased and truly wants to help and has the knowledge to! He can sometimes run a tad late for sessions, but he is transparent & will dedicate the appropriate time once a session has begun. I have genuinely noticed improvement of my life since seeing him and I have no plans to stop yet! He has great availability times & options to be seen as well as many insurances accepted.

Very unprofessional, can’t keep his appointment times. Hard for therapy to work when you’re aggravated every single appointment

First things first, you should know something about me. I’m possibly one of, if not the most difficult psychology patient there is. For years I withheld important information, didn’t put in the effort and was just all around resistant in therapy. Despite all of that Dr. Spero never once gave up on me. Dr. Spero stuck with me for going on 10 years now and despite how impossible I am he broke through my issues and convinced me, the also very untrusting person I am that I could trust him, that he cared about me, and he did. I’ll even give you one example of his success in helping me despite how difficult I am by referencing a journal entry I wrote after he suggested I try it for therapeutical reasons. “While writing one of my entries I had a thought, I truly hate writing down my emotions and thoughts. Partly because I didn’t see the point, but mostly because writing is very uncomfortable for me, like reading, writing takes a lot out of me. The only reason I kept writing is because Dr. Spero told me it would help me, and that’s when I realized it, in the past with something like this I would have given up already even if someone I liked told me to keep going. My trust and respect for Dr. Spero has become so profound that I have actually pushed myself to keep writing despite me not seeing the point, my trust in him was enough motivation on its own for me to keep doing something I really did not want to do even when I saw absolutely no point in it I kept going, and that’s proof of just how much our relationship had progressed despite me being the most stubborn, untrusting, resistive person there is. My trust and respect for him is powerful and I truly believe that it will save me from the painful existence I live, I believe in him, and I have hope.” Dr. Spero is one of the most caring and diligent Psychologists I’ve ever known, and I’ve seen quite a few. So, if you yourself are very difficult or if your child is very difficult have no worry at all that Dr. Spero will never give up on you or them and will always be able to help no matter what. There is no one in the entire world I would trust my life with over Dr. Spero. His compassion for his patients is truly beautiful, even if you don’t have insurance, he will take you and will always try his absolute best to compromise with you whatever your situation is and will compromise in ways that no other doctor ever would like he has for me. He treats his patients and those who work with him like his family and truly takes care of you. I can’t think of a psychologist more amazing than Dr. Spero, the only ones that compare are the amazing doctors he works with. I have personally worked and spoken with some of them and can say that without a doubt they’re amazing just like Dr. Spero is so if you can’t make an appointment with him then rest assured that one of the many doctors that work under him will also do an incredible job taking care of you and your loved ones. whoever you are, wherever you come from or whatever you believe I know Dr. Spero or one of his incredible associates will always be able to change your life for the better, either child or adult so stop wasting your time and get the help you deserve with Child and Family Psychologists. As someone who’s been with them for ten years, I can personally promise you that you wont regret it.

We have been seen Dr Spero as a family, as parents, and individually our children, for more than 15 years.

He has been the greatest help during times of difficulties and challenges that we have been going through. Dr Spero is not only an excellent Psychologist, but a wonderful human being that truly cares about his patients.

My son and I love Dr Spero! He is incredibly patient, kind, easy to talk to, and so relatable! My 11 year old son doesn’t feel most people understand him, but he loves to share his mind with Dr Spero. He’s just like an old friend you can share anything with! We always look forward to see him and my son has never felt so confident! Dr. Spero is the best!
