Dr. Hufnagel is definitely one of the best doctors I have gone to. I had breast cancer 6 years ago and do my yearly follow up with him. I am deeply sorry he is leaving the Cancer Ctr in Corvallis, Oregon.

Very unprofessional, Rude, will tell your family he will speak to them shortly, but yet ignores them on purpose, waits until the family leaves then goes into the patients room and tells them briefly what they have and tells them they 3 days to 3 weeks to live, is rude and pushy and then when asked for a second opinion he throws a temper tantrum like a toddler. Don't see this doctor!!!

Dr Hufnagel has been treating me for almost two years for NHL. He is fantastic! Very caring and knowledgeable. Now he is head of the clinic, and truly deserves it.

Dr. Hufnagel lied to me during a conversation after my father died of lung cancer. He said tmy father had been given a test for the EGFR mutation and that the test had come back positive. After requesting my father's medical records, I found out that he did not test my father. A previous doctor had tested my father for the mutation and the results were NEGATIVE. I realize he is a very busy man with many patients. I would think he would be professional enough to look into the records before making a statement like that. My guess is that he was upset with me for questioning the death certificate and when I questioned him about it he became upset and had to come up with something. The problem is that he didn't realize that I would follow up and find out exactly what the EGFR mutation is and if my father really had it. My suggestion: find another doctor-one you know will be honest and truthful. I wanted to meet with him to discuss the issue and he had no desire to talk to me.
