I have never even written a review of a doctor before. I was looking up a specialist doctor and just ran across these posts by chance and Had to write my experience with Dr. Mc Bride because I was so totally shocked at all the other comments !! Is this the same doctor ? Not my experience at all !! Dr. Suzanne Mc Bride in Columbus , Ga. at The Columbus Clinic has been the Best doctor I have ever had. I Have been her patient for at least 5 years now. She listens and cares. She is an excellent doctor. She has Spent as much time as I have needed with me at every visit I have had with her. Listens carefully and answers all questions asked with a smile on her face. Very knowledgable about Everything and seems very concerened about her patients health and well being from my experience. I Have Never heard any yelling by her or anyone in her office or experienced any rude behavior at all or ever even seen her cell phone present at any of my appointments. Loved her so much that everyone in my immediate family and several close friends have switched to her for their PC doctor now and are very happy with her care also. She is very thorough with lab work and any problems addressed in my experience. I referred my fiancé to her 4 years ago, and as part of the New patient tests she orders ..the chest x ray she ordered on him saved his life by a shadow showing up on the x ray. He was immediately contacted and notified about it and a Ct scan was ordered which discovered that One Kidney was completely cancerous, but the cancer looked to be still encapsulated just in the kidney. He had had NO symptoms at all. NONE. He was just seeing her as a new patient so he would have a Primary Care Doctor if needed. The chrst x ray she ordered as a New Patient and her immediate followup order for a CT saved his life ! An immediate referral to Dr. Sigman and then Removal of the whole kidney eradicated that cancer for him. He is still seeing her now on a regular basis for diabetes that was later discovered and being treated. There is a wait at times , But she is worth it. She keeps a good watch on everything with regular labwork and followup visits. We are in our middle 50's and Dr. McBride has been a life line !! Love her !!

Dr. McBride is the most incredibly rude and uncaring doctor I have ever seen! The only positive is the nurses in the office, but I think they are nice to trhe patients out of pity because they know what a mean woman waits behind those doors. I am surprised she is even allowed to practice medicine with a bedside manner like hers. The other doctors in her practice ought to be ashamed of themselves for allowing her to be there.

I agree with everyone else she is the worst, the most hateful and demeaning Dr I have ever seen. She makes you fill like a drug addict and a basket case. Always negative....she never gives you credit for all the positve changes you have made in your life. Will call you ex. Ok Dr Martin...if you try to explain something to her. Patient know thyself....does not exist. She prescribed meds for me before she had done labwork. The meds kept me up for 2 days...then she said maybe it was osteoporosis and prescribed flexoril and clonapin....over a mo later she did labs and i was rushed to the hospital ...my cbc was 6. Then she tried to blame me. So much i dont have space to mention. Dont know what kind of patient would desire this kind of treatment. Im glad we parted ways.......i deserve to feel safe and good about myself. Not happening with her.

I have been a patient of Dr. McBride for two years now. I wanted so much to like her as a doctor, but that just hasn't happened. First, she keeps you waiting with no regard for your time. If that was the only problem I could probably deal with it. Unfortunately, she is really rude and down-right disrespectful most of the time. She is thorough at times, but not always. For example, I had surgery, after one of her referrals, and the next time I saw her she didn't mention it. I said something about it because I thought she really may have not known. All she said was "I know". It had only been 6 weeks and she didn't ask how it went, how I was feeling or anything. She didn't care and didn't have the time or concern to talk about it. I lost a ton of respect for her at that point. Also, from my experience, do not dare question her or ask for a different medication. She became very defensive unnecessarily and got an attitude when I asked to be switched medications after researching the current one she had me on. It was as if she couldn't believe I had the "nerve" to question her because she was a doctor and I was not. I may not be a doctor, but I do have a Master's degree and am not an idiot. She referred me to several different specialist for problems and I always went because I wanted to "be a good patient" and follow-through with her orders. However, recently a specialist made a recommendation regarding a medication I was taking and she got a major attitude with him. The specialist couldn't even figure out why she was acting that way when he communicated with her about my case. He mentioned that he didn't understand why she referred me to a specialist if she didn't value/ or desire his opinion. I'm currently looking for a new doctor which is why I'm on this website. I wish I had never started seeing Dr. Mc Bride because she is truly unprofessional and rude. It's a shame they can't teach empathy and class in medical school because she lacks both. Honestly, I believe the reason she treats patients the way she does is bc she can. Columbus Clinic has more patients than it can handle so she knows that if she loses one patient, she will easily get another two more in it's place.

Dr. McBride is cruel to her patients. I heard her screaming at one of her nurses like she was a child. The nurse just replied yes ma'am. She was thorough with my care, but her bedside manner leaves much to be desired.

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. I've been with Dr McBride for over a year. I have really tried to be patient with her but my patience has ran out. She has belittled and has made me feel like a drug addict every time I speak to her about anything that's going on with me. Every single time I have a problem or an ache or pain she wants to refer me to someone else. So in return I have ran up medical bills for certain things that insurance won't cover. She and I got into an argument which turned into a screaming match in her office, She is the most unprofessional person that I've ever encountered. When trying to speak with her regarding a tragedy that has taken place in my family her response was...."well you need to remove yourself. Remove the CRAZIES from your life". She totally disrespected me as well as my family!! She has absolutely no empathy for anyone. The absolute worst Dr that I have EVER been to. I will be filing a formal complaint on her. Please think twice before entering her office!!

Dr. McBride put me on a medication that she didn't know much about. Turns out the withdrawals and dependency is comparable to heroine. When I lost my insurance, no one would call me back and the doctor pretty much forced me to go through withdrawals b/c I couldn't afford to come and see her. This isn't a narcotic and when I had insurance she was writing me scripts 8-10 months at a time. I can't even get a phone call back now. I have called for the past week everyday with no response from nurses or the doctor. She doesn't care about her patients. She only cares about the money.

Absolutely rude and disrespectful. Yelled at my 66 year-old mother like she was a child and when we asked her why she said, "I don't have time to go into it." The worst experience I have had with anyone ever. Then refused to write a prescription for a shingles shot and forgot to write the prescription she'd mentioned during the visit. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy.

I agree with first comment about her professionalism, rock bottom. I was sick when I went and was sicker after the visit with her. I was so disappointed in her as a doctor. She placed her I-phone on her lap during appt and was monitoring it while caring for me. Much too much multi tasking.
