Dr. Hakimi is very genuinely compassionate. She has made me feel extremely comfortable and productive in our appointments.

Seemed more interested in scheduling me for as many appointments as possible than really helping me. Typed me early on as an druggie and tried to talk me into in-patient treatment when I was trying to cut back on one of my meds (which she doesn't, and cannot, prescribe). Did not think it was necessary to consult my psychiatrist on this, either; I was dumbfounded. I became increasingly anxious when she continued to pester me about possible drug abuse and finally stopped seeing her when it turned out she had over-billed me about $300. I am still recovering from the incompetent treatment I received from her and would not recommend her to anyone, ever. Do your research and find a good PhD psychologist - there are so many in this area; I fortunately went back to someone I had seen in previous years and am now much happier.

I was reluctant to see a therapist and I am delighted that I did. Dr. Hakimi has an easygoing style. She is an excellent listener, has pratical advice and seems genuinely interested.
