Performed total shoulder replacement for my end stage Osteoarthritis. His explanations were clear & answered my questions. In the surgery he broke off 2 screws, are still there. I was unable to regain full range of motion & am in pain. I was fully compliant in Phy. Therapy. Even requested extra, which he ordered. Obtained post surgery 2nd opinion. Dr felt ball & socket components chosen by Gilliam were too large and NOT placed in correct anatomical position. I'll need revision surgery when I can no longer stand the pain. I feel Dr Gilliam needs additional training & shouldn't perform surgery until then. Choose this Dr only if you are willing to gamble with your body!
