Ahh... Grace, yes, not a nice person at all. I have been with Dr. B for 8 years now. As always, he has done a wonderful job and has my confidence. Grace seems to get a kick out of degrading anyone in crisis. (I have seen plenty in 8 yrs.) Her preference to light complexions is obvious, at best. Dr. B. seems to never get the message from G. I am sure he is aware of her antics. She pretty much controls his every move. I expect sooner or later she will give me the boot as well.

The moment I walked into this office I did not feel welcomed. The appointment receptionist was always nice but this Grace woman is a total nightmare. She is extremely unfriendly and lacks people skills. She ruins everything. I often wonder if Ed is aware of this but if you read back through the reviews it sounds like this has gone on for some time. I did make a comment about her at our last appt and he didn't seem very happy about what I had to say.

If it weren't for Ed I would have never gone back. The moment he welcomed me as I made my way into his office, I knew he was the one for me. He is so easy to talk to. He brought me much ease while I was his patient. I actually looked forward to my appointments. It's too bad I was able to make my last one. After a very short while, I needed Ed. He put me on the right medication and had me feeling so much better. I will miss his care.

It doesn't seem like you're allowed to be human in this office or make mistakes. Well... I had my first actual missed appointment. I mistakenly noted the wrong Thursday (one week later) on my calendar and they gave me the boot. I received a letter... "We are no longer able to offer you further services". At least they KINDLY provided me a list of references. Things happen... We're human! And if you're Bipolar, you best not! I was his patient for 1.5 years on time and present every month except those 2 incidents. I kid you not, ONE missed no call no show. I had no prior history. I attempted to speak to Ed over the phone but the awful woman refused to give me a chance. She enjoys giving patients bad news. I could almost hear her smiling over the phone.

Life has its challenges and they certainly don't consider what this can do to someone. This was a relationship and it feels like a serious breakup. Rather than having a conversation with you about how missed appointments CAN get you discharged, they throw you out on the streets knowing you have such conditions.

I really thought I was being cared for but I think that says a lot. Some people work to make a living and then there are those that really love what they do.

Thanks Ed

Grace is EXTREMELY rude and has no business working there. I asked to speak to Dr Borrego to let him know but she refused to allow me to speak with him and instead hung up on me. He is a great doctor but he needs a new secretary!!!

I began treatment with Dr. Borrego at an outpatient facility, and found him to be the best Psychiatist I have ever had. He was able to diagnose me properly as others used the fall back diagnosis of bipolar - which I never had. Unfortunately, I had to return to my Psychiatrist after my treatment because Dr. Borrego did not accept Medicare in his private practice. But, as a result of Dr. Borrego, my Psychiatrist got on the ball and changed the meds I was on to match what Dr. Borrego had switched me to. Obviously, I could not rate his staff or office so I left them blank.

Dr. Ed Borrego has been treating me for approximately 4 years. He and his office manager, Grace, have been a Godsend, offered me support beyond my expectations to see me through some extremely difficult times. I have been dealing with mental health professionals for 30 years and this has been my most helpful, positive and nurturing experience so far. I highly recommend recommend this practice to those in need of mental health care. I can call with any question and/or concern and rest assured I will receive a response in a timely manner, I need not worry. Very satisfied and know I'm cared for.

My experience at Dr. Borrego's office has always been pleasant. The receptionist was very nice and friendly which is why I am very surprised to see comments saying she is rude. The doctor is very caring and wonderful. I would definitely recommend this psychiatrist to anyone.

At first Dr. Borrego appeared concerned and caring. Even though he has a terrible receptionist, I continued going. When she started giving medical advice instead of letting the doctor take care of it, I had enough. I guess Dr. Borrego didn't like hearing the truth about his receptionist. He would not return my after hours calls which he charges $25 for. In addition, he was prescribing me a medication that was not even FDA approved for my diagnosis. If you really want a good psychiatrist, talk to the receptionist. She is "very" "smart".

The doctor was amazing! He really listens and tells me what I "need" to hear, not just what I want. The front staff was warm and welcoming. I have seen that some people have "issues" with her, but I have nothing but good praise. God Bless everyone on the road to good health!

This is a great doctor because he listens to you. I hate that I have a huge crush on him. I am sure lots of people do! He takes care of his patients and has a good heart.I should probably change doctors!
