I called office on a Thursday night hoping to get appt. next day. My foot was red+swollen with so much pain I couldn't walk. Dr. Rien called me back and offered to meet me at office that night!! She diagnosed Gout. She gave me medication and an injection in my foot to get the swelling and pain down. She bandaged me and gave me a special shoe to wear. I had relief when I left the office and have had no more pain since then. She did not even collect money that night, and said for me to call the office and they would handle this. I have never seen so much compassion and trust from a doctor here in South Florida. She really cares and will take excellent care of any patient I am sure.

Dr. Rien turned out to be not only best Podiatrist, but best doctor I've ever seen. She did entire history + physical first, made accurate diagnosis of my complicated heel + ankle problem, and her treatment plan was executed kindly, gently, and my problem was resolved. She even provided me with her cell phone number so was always available! A great doctor and person who you should definitely choose. -Sara L.

Very competent,bright,caring,smart and well organized. Ver knoledgable and her diagnosis was correct. I felt better very quickly and was so pleased with my choice!

I am very unhappy with my visit to Dr. Rien - I was overcharged for my visit which I was forced to pay up front. When I got my EOB, I called for a refund and got the run around - I only got a refund after I called and disputed the charge on my credit card. Then she refunded part of the money, and sent in more charges to BC/BS to cover the rest. All the charges on the EOB said they were for misc surgery and even though I requested an itemized list for what I am being charged for, I have never recieved it!! I do not recommend this doctor!

Dr Rien is one of the best doctors in South Florida. She takes time to really understand the problem and is an extremely competent individual. There are many podiatrists out there that are merely interested in the money aspect of the business, however; she has the patient's best interest at heart. She goes out of her way to help the patient and while you may wait slightly longer than average, she is well worth the wait.

Dr Rien over charged me; than I received me EOB summary from bc/bs and noticed she had been double paid. I reported the situation to BC/BS. BC/BS was told by Dr Rien that I would have refund check by end of that week. That was three weeks ago, since then I have been told by her office to be patient that she doesn't have the money. She was upset when I called bc/bs, that I should have called the office instead. This is not my families first and only run in with this doctor. She usually keeps people waiting an hour or more and lies about the reasons. I'm very grateful I'll be looking for a new poditrist soon. And still awaiting refund check.
