Joel Vandersluis kicked me out of his office AFTER his team performance a unnecessary test on me which consist of a test like acupuncture. After the nasty test that his assistant gave me which they called a nerve conduction test, that was suppose to check my nerve ending; I followed all his orders and I came down with MRSA. Now that I look back on the visit I hate I ever allowed this man in my life.
His assistant gave me a test with a little needle that stuck me in every nerve ending in my body (starting in the bottom of my feet to the top of my head after each stick she stuck the needle in a sponge. I question every move and I asked her did she have additional education to perform this test every question was answered with a sincere answer.
I can go on, this is when he was in the old St Elizabeth hospital office approximately 13 yrs ago.
I didn't write a review back than because I was/still grieving for the lost of my only child.
Joel Vandersluis told me he needed to give me a spinal tap in HIS office not at the hospital
What REAL neurologist give spinal taps in there office?
Looking back on my HORRIBLE experience with Joel he is out to make you sick not to help you get better.
Long story short the reason I was having mobility problems/ and falling, my psychiatrist had given me a prescription for Xanax for my anxiety and panic attacks after the death of my child.
I told Joel this and I also documented ALL medications on my new patient form, However Joel told me it was possible that I may have MS . A money maker diagnosis ~do your homework like I did so a neurologist like Joel will not make money off you . I'm so upset I have had rash after rash for 13 yrs with the help of Joel and other Doctors taking advantage of a mother grieving. I refused the spinal tap and he kicked me out his office and gave me my medical file.
Sad we don't have Dr.'s that don't listen . He just wanted UHC money and mines.

There was no point in me going. Just a waste of time for them to earn a couple dollars. He just wants to pump patients out. Highly recommend going somewhere else. You would think he’s just a general practitioner

My appointment was at 9 am. I was given a verbal cognitive test consisting of 4 verbal questions. I was never very good at math and failed that question. I was then asked what the date was. I answered the day and month correctly but answered the year as 2018. He never asked any other questions and diagnosed me as having dementia. The man has no personality and doesn't care about the patients. He only cares about how many patients he can process and bill them.

I am shocked! I thought that I was the only person who experienced the extreme rudeness and insecurity from this doctor. Dr Vandersluisseems to have good knowledge, but it's wrapped up in this rude, insecure personality that I simply couldn't tolerate. When I confronted him about the fact that I'm newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and wanted his guidance not his attitude, he immediately recommended that I might need to see someone else. He has referred me to his nurse practitioner who I haven't met with yet, but clearly I need to switch doctors. I'm still perplexed by some lower back pain that I think is affiliated with my condition. But he told me it's simply old age. But the back problems only seem to happen when I'm having an MS flare up. He also told me that I intimidated him. I don't have a problem with any of his staff, and there was one particular person who was ridiculously kind. But I would never want to see this doctor again.

He has the worst personality...arrogant to say the least! It’s his way or he will remove you as a patient! There’s plenty of EXCELLENT NEUROS IN DAYTON who care and appreciate your input. You are paying for their services..,they’re working for you!! Don’t settle for any less than the BEST TO CARE FOR YOU!! Not this poor excuse for a human!
