Great surgeon as long as you have no issues after surgery. He will not return your calls after you are discharged. Long story, my husband had a benign tumor removed 9/22 and discharged 3 days later. He began to have symptoms 3 days later. Called the office only allowed to speak to triage team or PA Sean Henson. No fever, no worries we were told. Less than 2 weeks after 1st surgery emergency surgery for MRSA. My husband nearly died and was hospitalized for over 30 days. He was left for 6 months with a herniated brain only to be told normal swelling. Finally went to Duke for repairs nearly a year later. He has permanent dead brain tissue from infection and surgery and will require extensive therapy. He has permanent brain damage. Lytle and Henson have arrogant and unconcerned attitudes that could cost lives.

Dr. Lytle performed an extensive 8 hr. Surgery on my lumbar spine. Had experienced moderate to severe pain for over 10 years. He was the only one who diagnosed & was able to repair the problem. No more pain! He was knowledgeable & answered all questions pre & post op. Excellent, skilled neurosurgeon.

AVOID THIS SURGEON. This surgeon only seems interested in moving patients through quickly, to assure he has the payment for his yacht and covering his a$$ to avoid a lawsuit. He may be brilliant - BUT entering the room, announcing he will only spend 5 minutes with you, insists you not say one word or interrupt him with a question until he has completed his complex 4 minute monolouge - how does the patient remember or understand enough to form questions? He is simply an arrogant j3rk. If you want to have an informed, collaborative healthcare experience- RUN, RUN, RUN to another care provider.

Dr. called and cancelled appointment stating he couldn't do anything to help my ex mother-in-law's Trigeminal Neuralgia. We requested three times that he at least refer her to a pain management program we found. His office never made the referral and never contacted us about it. Very disappointing!

Staff would not return my calls. Doctor assured me that my pain would be gone immediately, but it returned a few weeks after surgery. I despise taking medication, which is the ONLY reason I had surgery!
