Biography

Dr. Ahmed is an Oncologist for Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Polk and Highlands counties. He always knew he wanted to be a doctor and was particularly interested in the biology of cancer. He finds it very rewarding to be able to help his patients and reassure them that they will be able to get back to living their normal lives and, often, that their cancer can be cured. Dr. Syed Eqbal Ahmed received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University and participated in clinical research studies at Harvard Medical School and Cambridge University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Cleveland Clinic. He is Board-certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.
