Dan is indirectly responsible for the death of my wife by way of his surgical errors. She was in exasperated pain until the day she died due to his procedures. Too bad she died before the law suit was complete...you got away with that one Danny-boy.

I do not endorse this man for anything good in life, he ruined our family. She would have be 46 last month. My kids miss their mom, I miss my wife.

I'm a wounded combat veteran and ex firefighter taking a 3 story fall, breaking my back and both knees. I moved to the area and starting seeing Kloster after my prior doc retired. Dr. Kloster tried cocktails in my pump, which I'd never had before. I had bad side effects and asked him to go to straight morphine, which is what I always had before and worked. He took out the other meds but refused to titrate my morphine to the prior dosage. So now, I'm left with debilitating pain and ask myself, what is the point of having a pain doctor if he won't help with your pain? Dr. Kloster discriminated against me because I chew tobacco and you have to quit. I tried. I almost succeeded but then the 4th of July came around and anyone who has seen combat, knows how fireworks can trigger flashbacks. Dr. Kloster made me feel worthless.

Horribly rude staff. Just terrible. Wish I had read the other reviews first.

Worst patient care I have experienced in a very long time. They would not schedule an appointment after receiving a referral from my primary care physician, even after losing the first referral. Once they got the second referral I called to schedule with them 3 days in a row during business hours. The phone went to voicemail each time and they never attempted to call me back. This clinic clearly doesn't get it. Still operating with the doctor/medical "God-complex." After the third try, I finally went back to my primary care physician to get a referral to someone who cares.

Dr. Kloster helped me a lot when I was having sciatic pain. The pain was disabling and the shots were a God-send. He and his staff were always very professional and caring. It is a little like an assembly line but I think he is just very efficient in his methods. I thought he was great!

I had a very positive experience. I was referred to him because of long time pain and limited range of motion in my neck from arthritis. No Dr. had ever offered the option of steroid injections before and it worked for me. He is very direct and straight forward and I think that's a good thing. I have never had to wait more that a couple of minutes the times I've been there. His staff is wonderful. I would recommend him.

I agree with other comments as far as begin and out and only wants to give you steroid shots and pump refills never looks any further than that. Knowing that these things no longer helps. Tried to change Dr. But it seems I'm always sent back to him b cause he is the one who put the pump in me. I I feel like I was trapped and could not get a different Dr to fill it. Now trying to have it removed so I don't have to keep going back there.

Dr. Daniel R. Kloster's response
We appreciate your feedback. As with each patient, new symptoms and pain complaints are discussed in detail. If there are changes from the baseline, new diagnostic studies will be ordered, if necessary. Unfortunately, when numerous simpler treatments have failed (often including surgery), patients may graduate to an intrathecal pump.

Intrathecal pumps are only placed after a very lengthy discussion and informed consent. This discussion generally involves several visits. Intrathecal pumps can be valuable tools that deliver medications more potently without the side effects, but these devices do not solve the underlying pathology. If patients are still not achieving good pain control, we will discuss tapering down and explanting the device.

I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. He has a bad bedside manner, he is arrogant and says things that make you feel like your less than him! Just unprofessional as far as drs go.

Dr. Daniel R. Kloster's response
I am sorry you feel this way. Not every doctor and patient relationship is a good fit, and patients must find a doctor with whom they feel comfortable.

That said, each and every patient is treated respectfully by my staff and me. If there is ever a concern, we are happy to address it. We are honored when patients choose us for their care and value every patient relationship.
