Dr. Ritten delivered my 3rd child. I didn't really like him a whole lot. He's not the greatest doctor, but he's not the worst doctor either.

Honestly, I was scared going to him at first. This was because it was y first pregnancy. He was very informative. He delivered my daughter greatly. I had a complication and let me tell you I refused to push I didn't want to go through the labor. He got right by my face and told me it was ok and that I could do it. And I did. For my second and third pregnancy I had a different Doc well both of them had bailed on me moving to different hospital. He took over he saved my second daughter's life she was not breathing. with my third daughter he could not deliver the doc on call told me when i was at 9.5 cm that he was going to take a nap and he would be back. Ritten would have never done that. with my fourth child he was very great I went into hospital the nurses told him i was dilated to a 2 he came in few minutes later and he got a 3-4. I got to stay and have my baby. He was in the room not every hr but rather 20 min to check on me. Just make sure you look at all doctors out there.

Not only is Dr. Ritten Board Certified, he is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also has been selected as one of America's Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which you can see if you visit his office. If you want to see a qualified physician you should do your research yourself instead of taking someone else's word for it. I think if Dr. Ritten wasn't an excellent physician then he wouldn't be recognized nationally as one of the best.

I just want to let all the people that have negative thing's to say about this doctor know that you need to get your facts straight. This doctor has been my doctor for several years and not only my doctor but also at one time I worked for him. He is a great doctor.. That cares so very much about his patients and the babies he delivers,He takes pride in caring for all of his patients. He is easy to talk to and very knowledgable. And easy to understand. How many doctors do all you negative people know that gives you their cell phone or home numbers to call anytime you need them? Not many .. I know this because, I work in the Medical field as a Medical assistant. I have dealt with alot of doctors and most of them are not available 24/7 like Dr Ritten is... So I suggest that you do your homework and find out all the facts. And remember there is two sides to every story.. In which most of the negative comments are based rumors and not the facts. If you really want the truth just ask him

In November of 08 I got laid off which meant I lost my health insurance. At that time I was 20 weeks pregnancy and not a lot of physicians would take me without being on a waiting list or told me I was over 20 weeks so they wouldn’t. I gave his office a call and they got me right in. Dr. Ritten didn’t care how I was going to pay for my appointments at the time. He was more concerned about me and the baby. I have called him on his cell phone and he always answers and gives me helpful information. I am very happy with him and his staff and have told several other females about him. I would recommend him. He’s great and cares about your well being. I had to go to the ER in New York and needed some information faxed from his office to the hospital in NY. The hospital was impressed by how fast he faxed over the information and Dr. Ritten wanted to be updated on my progress.

I have been to a lot of ob/gyns and not all of them are as knowlegable or caring as Dr Ritten is. This is my third pregnancy and I still do have questions and he doesnt treat me like Im an idiot who should already know everything about pregnancy because he knws every pregnancy is different. He even gave me options on how i wanted to deliver and helped me weigh the options. Ive had 2 c-sections so we discussed it and decided on a third. I have confidence in him that he will deliver a healthy baby and make sure that Im healthy too. my pregnancy this time around is posing some concerns and he jumps right on it and helps fix the problem. He seems to really care about his patients. Just remember everyone has a bad day now and then, that doesnt mean they are horrible at what they do. Doctors are human too. I have seen doctors that only care about money and zip in and out of patients rooms like they are working on an assembly line, I dont get that feel with his office.

I think this doctor is one of the best gynecologist I have ever been too. Most ob/gyn's only care about their ob patients and put their gynecology patients on the back burner. Not Dr. Ritten he treats gynecology patients with just as much respect. He's very concern about womens health. He is straight and to the point and honest about what he tells you. I'm 36 and I have had a hysterectomy complicated by a major pelvic mass done by Dr. Ritten and I feel he did a wonderful job. My family background makes me at high risk for breast cancer. Instead of Dr. Ritten telling me I'm to young to have a mammogram or not at the base age for one, he listen to my concerns and has allowed me to get them. This has put me at ease knowing the risk I carry. Not all unfortunate events should be blame on the doctor sometimes its the patient not following directions. Don't let the negativity scare you away from making an appointment. He is a good doctor.

Dr. Ritten not only delivered my daughter, he saved my sisters life. When another hospital/doctor told her that her mammogram was clear, even though she had a lump, Dr. Ritten sent her for a biopsy. She had breast cancer...but thanks to him, she is doing great eight years later...cancer free. He did a wonderful job with my daughter and I. I had a very difficult delivery, but he was there every step of the way, night or day. He went out of his way to make sure that my daughter and I were well taken care of. Dr. Ritten also saved a friend of mine who was told by another doctor that she had a kidney infection, when in reality, she had a etopic pregnancy that was ready to rupture. Based on the spelling and grammar of the negative comments, it sounds like they are the ones that need to go back to school.
