Beware!! Please find another GYN. I seen her 7 years ago and still have terrible medical issues because of her!

She is the worst Dr. I have ever been to. She was sarcastic & laughed at my concerns. Who wants a Dr. like that?

Dr. Mackovic is the worst doctor I have been to in a long time. I took my 17-year old daughter to her to have her first ob/gyn exam, and the doctor ran a bunch of unecessary blood tests, and then had her staff call me early on a saturday morning to tell me one of this was abnormal without any more explanation, and to call back right away. I called back, and was told that the blood test for an immune disorder came back abnormal and that we needed to get in right away. I said I would like the doctor to call me for more of an explanation -- when the doctor did not call me back, I called back later in the day, and asked her to call me. She did call back, but called my daughter's cell phone -- my daughter got upset and confused. I got on the phone with the doctor, and she talked down to me and laughed at my concern. She said we would need to see a specialist, either a hematologist or a rheumatologist -- really? She doesn't know which? I would never recommend this doctor to anyone -- I feel she is a quack......

I love Dr Mackovic. She has an amazing bed side manner. I feel very comfortable with her. She is very kind and caring. The office staff is really pleasant and helpful. I am so glad I found dr Mackovic.

This doctor totally ignored the seriousness of my health issues. She wasn't qualified to treat me and instead of informing me of this gave me totally inaccurate information about the problems I was having. I had excellent health insurance and I believe now she didn't want to send a "good thing" elsewhere. Dr. Mackovic is not an endometriosis specialist and is not a uro-gynecologist. I needed both of these specialist, unfortunately I was unaware of this fact and she failed to tell me. I continued to see her thinking everything was fine only to find out I was so wrong. When the serious problems I had finally came to a very serious and life threatening state, she sent me a letter saying I should be treated elsewhere and she would treat me for 30 days on an emergency basis. She gave me no explanation and I couldn't reach her to get any answers. I now know my condition was very serious and I should have been hospitalized immediately. This doctor disappears when things go wrong!! BEWARE!

Dr. Miriam Mackovic is the single, greatest physician I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She has a heart the size of the earth and a smile equally as big. She is so very knowledgable and caring. She listens and will go above and beyond to help you and to try and solve any problem you may be having. I have recommended her to my mother and close to 10 friends and every single one of them feel the exact same way that I do. I am SO thankful to have found her and even more thankful that she makes me feel like I am the most important person in the world, every time I see her. She makes everyone feel like they are her favorite patient! If you have an opportunity to become her patient, take it. If you pass up the opportunity, the only one you'll be hurting is yourself. You'll be better for having her as your doctor! One last thing, her office staff is simply the best! The Lakewood office is my favorite, but I have been to every location except Naples & they're all great!

I am a 29 y/o breast cancer survivor, no thanks to Dr. Mackovic. At 26 my r breast had bloody discharge. I had no insurance but got enough $ to visit Dr. Mac who was reccomended to me. I did reseach on the internet. Everything I read said Breast Cancer. I went in and saw Dr. Mac who saw the discharge. I was crying and said I'm pretty sure I have Breast Cancer. 5 minutes later she told me verbatim 'You are too young, you do not have Breast Cancer.' She said I had a hormone imbalance and put me on anti-depressants (which I had never had before). I thought she knew what she was talking about, so I trusted her. When I finally got diagnosed I was stage 3, had to have chemo, radiation and a mastectomy and have more surgery coming up in a few months. So now I'm not sure if I can have children, I have lost my breast and all of my hair. Alot of this could have been avoided if Dr. Mackovic had even just said 'lets keep an eye on this' not 'You are too young!'

WORST PLACE EVER.............. The Dr. was ok but the staff is the rudest,uninformed employees from the secretary to the nurse ... Will NEVER go back and am going to tell all my frineds to avoid this place at all cost...Please do NOT beleive this Dr. Cares about you of she would have hired better employees to represent her practice.

Staff is not as professional as they used to be and not knowledgeable of up to date insurance coverage. Dr. Mac had been such a wonderful and caring doctor over the 15 years my family saw her and in the midst of a a serious health issue and after numerous visits over several months, her business office recommended to her that I not be seen due to a nominal outstanding bill that I was willing to pay which was not covered by insurance. The letter said she would see me on an emergency basis for the next 30 days and would not see me after that. I called within that 30 days and paid the overdue amount and they still refused to see me and I had to visit an emergency facility with some serious health issues. I was dumbfounded and so hurt that the relationship I thought I had developed with Dr. Mac was not as genuine as I thought. I was one of the first patients to see Dr. Mac when she opened her own practice. Good Luck to her in the future.

Although Dr. Mac seems caring it seems to be very much on the surface. She performed by hysterectomy in 07. I was disappointed that she took out organs that she never discussed with me. She's too rushed and doesn't spend the needed time with her patients.
