Ruined my husbands life. He will never be with out pain again. He now has to walk with a cane, he can’t get up and down hardly from seated positions. His knee is 2-3x the normal size it should be.

I would not recommend Dr. Kurtz to anyone. I had a knee replacement done six years ago, and he never once told me that my leg was three inches longer on the leg that had the replacement. He dismissed my concerns of not being able to walk up and down stairs, and unable to resume walking normally and told me to do wall sits. He knew that something was wrong, but never did any measurements to find out what the problem was. I pick this knee replacement unit because I was told it would be the exact replica of the knee I had, and it wasn’t at all.

I had bilateral hip replacement in December. My pre and post op experience with Dr. Kurtz couldn't have been better! He is an excellent surgeon who has nothing but his patients best interest at heart. I returned to work at 3 weeks and am pain free. I would recommend him to anyone!

I would not recommend him to any one that does not plan to have a problem free recovery. Never had a patient like me and total dismissed me. I the world of ortho doctor no one will see you if someone else did surgery. What he said to me in the office is no where in my records. He had no plans to help me and did not refer me to someone who would. He told me to life with it.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kurtz and his staff. After having both hips replaced. I have recommended him to several friends. He seems to me that he positively wants the best for all his patients. He has the knowledge, education, and experience to do great things.

Hip replacement which thankfully went very well. Dr. Kurtz simply doesn't have a lot to say and seems to be a bit removed from the doctor/patient relationship. That being said, I completely trust his surgical skills and I think he wants each of his patients to do well. I would choose him all over again and I appreciate what he has done for me!

Had knee replacement surgery which went well however one year later had a fall and reinjured. Have seen him many times having pain. Given several different diagnoses. I too feel like this dr. was personally affronted that I have continued to have this problem. Still no resolution . As of the last visit I have basically been blown off and given to understand that I should just take over the counter pain relievers. I have just decided not to put myself in front of him just to be treated as if I am making it all up. So I'm just giving up.

I had a knee replacement in 2012 with Dr. Kurtz . The initial visit went well. I had the surgery and from then on it seemed that Dr. Kurtz had issues with me. I had a minor complication after surgery and had trouble in therapy. My body reacted to the knee replacement and I had to be put to sleep for Dr. Kurtz to loosen it up. Its almost like he took it personal that I was not doing well. It had absolutely nothing to do with him. His attitude toward me since has been short and almost rude. I went for my 1 yr follow up recently. I waited for 1 hr 10 minutes for my appointment and never complained at all. I knew their schedule was full. I was his last appointment. He had the same attitude toward me then. If you need a good surgeon I would recommend him. If you need someone who is genuine and has a bedside manner look elsewhere. Seems like after he books you onto the schedule his niceness wears off.
