Twelve days ago I had Robotic laparoscopic bilateral hernia surgery with Dr. Abikhaled. He actually repaired 3 hernias which included my navel. The surgery took about 3 hours. After about a week, my soreness was almost gone & I'm feeling almost normal. As far as I can tell, he did a great job. I would recommend him to anyone. The only issue I had ...How on earth do you pronounce his last name? Just remember " abby-call-ed" and say it fast. That's close enough.

Dr. Abikhaled performed emergency surgery on my son to find the cause of uncontrolled gastrointestinal bleeding, found the problem and saved my son's life. He has an excellent bedside manner, listens well, answers all questions and pays attention to detail. You couldn't ask for a better doctor.

Dr. Abikhaled repaired a hernia for me. He is very skilled, professional, and personable. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a skilled surgeon in the Austin area. The entire process went exactly as he described it in our pre-Op meeting and the recovery is proceeding nicely. Likewise, his staff was very efficient and personable and the office facility was good.

Dr. Abikhaled was recommended to me for a hernia. I had surgery on 12/30/14 and was a bit nervous but the staff at Austin Surgery Center was excellent. Dr. Abikhaled did an awesome job. Recovery was easy with very little pain and incision hardly noticeable. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. A for Hernia and all other surgeries. I was completely impressed. Thank you Dr. Abikhaled!

Dr. Ahibhaled is very knowledgable, professional, and friendly. He repaired a hernia for me 8 years ago, with excellent results. When I developed another hernia, he was the only doctor I considered for the procedure. Once again, the results were excellent. If I need surgery in the future, he will be my first choice.

Dr. Abikhaled removed my gallbladder this summer. I had been sick for a while and bounced around to a few doctors about what was wrong with my GI tract. He was very thorough and honest about the surgery and I felt like I was making a knowledgeable decision. He performed the surgery laparoscopically, the recovery was great and I feel so much better. Both his staff and the Central Park Surgery Center where the operation took place were great, as well. I would refer friends and family to Dr. Abikhaled and go back to him myself, if needed (hope not!). Wonderful Doc.

I found Dr. Abikhaled to be personable, knowledgeable, answered my questions thoroughly. He has an easy, though efficient manner and a great smile. His handshake is one of confidence and sincerity. My thyroidectomy was not by the book, but after surgery, I had almost no discomfort, slept well, and by his word he was back the next morning to double check, reitterate instructions. His manner put my husband at ease which is no easy task. Saw him for check up 11 days post surgery and he adjusted my calcium. He PERSONALLY called me 13 days post surgery to double check my status with my endocrinologist and said I could reduce further additional calcium until I got her specific recommendation as to continued dosage. HE called me, not the office staff. Pretty impressive, and most appreciative.

Before I met Dr Abikhaled, I consulted with another surgeon, who proposed a more extensive surgery than what I was expecting. I was surprised to learn this type of surgery is the traditional procedure for my medical diagnosis. Considering the risk involved (+ a lifetime of meds), I needed to feel confident that at least other options were considered. So I sought a second opinion. Fortunately, I found Dr Abikhaled. He took more time to listen than most doctors I know. He allowed me to express my concerns without trying to convince me otherwise. He carefully explained the possible outcomes in surgery and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. His approach toward me as a patient gave me the confidence to trust his decision on which procedure would be best. The surgery went well. Dr Abikhaled skillfully performed a more difficult procedure than the traditional. I am very grateful for his extra effort and very fortunate to have this outcome. I could not have found a better surgeon.

I have been blessed with excellent health and when I needed a surgical procedure, my search began for a top rated surgeon. Reviews for Dr. Abikhaled were universally positive and I set up an appointment to discuss my options. I was impressed with both his empathy and expertise. He noted that if he were facing my situation that he would choose a certain surgical option and then proceeded to thoroughly explain why. My surgery went very well and I was up and walking around just minutes after landing in recovery. The literature supplied by his office was an excellent guide to the recovery parameters and timeline. I am very pleased with the services and attention I have received from Dr. Abikhaled. He was informative and reassuring during my initial office visit. On the day of surgery, he was punctual and gave me an opportunity to ask questions or express concerns before the procedure. The operation was performed within the estimated amount of time and Dr. Abikhaled visited with my family immediately following surgery and provided thorough explanation of his findings. I am pleased to say that my recovery went very well and that I resumed my old routine soon thereafter.
