Dr A is the best and most compassionate dr I’ve seen yet. He listens and he cares. As a cancer patient with a ton of spine and rib issues he cares for me like no other dr. I see that he has some bad reviews, but no one can force you to take medication that you don’t want. With patients like me he’s amazing. He knows his stuff and will change a medication if it’s causing problems. You’d be lucky to get in with him. And his nurse Erica is the best! I trust them implicitly. And they get back with you fast unlike so many others.

I agree this doctor is well known by many nurses and patients that he overprescribes drugs. No wonder we have a narcotic and opioid epidemic!!! It is because of doctors like Dr. Jimmie Adcock!!!! So glad I got my mother away from him and to an excellent doctor who has has her medications under control and more importantly my mother feels better than she ever has in her life since leaving this doctor!!!!!!

I agree it is a known fact this doctor prescribed WAY too much medication to ny elderly mother as well. He even prescribed 2 refills on one RX that should never be prescribed to an elderly person ever. Not only did he prescribe it, he allowed for 2 refills! Doctors like this should be arrested plain and simple!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Adcock for 20 + years. My last visit December 2016 was a physical. I have hypothyroidism. Also I had been having extreme back pain. I had lab work done at his office and a MRI the next week. Mid February I still had not heard anything from my results. I called several times and left messages. Several days later he finally called to report I had zero thyroid and some spinal dysfunction. He was really rude to me. I have had this experience with him in the past. I am very disappointed with his service.

I have been going to Dr. Adcock for many years. He is the most professional, competent physician I have ever had. He is well-versed in all facets of the medical profession and thus is able to diagnose any condition. He, himself, is a specialist in many areas and saves his patients from having to seek further treatment. Additionally, he truly cares about his patients. He makes each patient feel important and takes the necessary time needed to address any concerns. The main trait I admire most is his "genuineness"--he truly cares about his patients. From the moment he enters the room you can feel his sincerity and true caring spirit for it just "radiates" from within. Words cannot describe Dr. Adcock. Novant Health is so fortunate to have him on their team!!

Dr.Adcock is very dedicated to the medical profession unlike many of the recent graduates of med school. He is very thorough, explains things so that you understand, and makes you feel like you are a special patient. He is very confident and makes you, the patient, feel like you are in "good hands". This doctor is an asset to the First Charlotte Physicians group!
