Dr. Larson is impressive. He diagnosed my rare heart condition in about 1 hour in his office. I had seen several cardiologist before him and all of them missed the diagnosis even after ultrasounds and EKGs. If you are looking for a knowledgeable doctor that can think critically and has loads of experience, then I recommend Dr. Larson.

I too found him to be rather abrasive and seemingly cold and uncaring causing me to ultimately switch doctors. He may be a great doctor skill wise, but his bedside manner sucks.

I felt like he had better things to do than discuss my condition with me. He was sarcastic and a bit rude.

Dr. Larson is knowledgeable, professional and polite. I would definitely recommend him for people who are direct and outspoken. He (not unlike many 15-minute-visit doctors) did seem to assume and generalize about my situation (i.e., "your chart shows that you've been taking X mg of X drug for 4 months, so since your levels haven't changed let's increase the dosage" instead of "your chart shows that you've been taking X mg of X drug, how true is that?". In my case, a separate medical issue prevented me from taking the drug for the first 2 of the 4 months, and then only at about 70% of the recommended dosage because of nausea caused by another medication. I really had to work hard to get that point across.
