My daughters doctor is supposed to be his daughter and I've NEVER seen her. I've had to deal with Dr. Ziad Idriss. He is the most rude doctor I have ever dealt with. I couldn't ask any questions and when he spoke to me he talked down on me like if I was a child or didn't comprehend basic words. Never again am I taking my daughter to his practice. I asked him a question and his answer was "probably but go ask another doctor"!!!! I called him while he was on-call to see if it was safe to give my infant some Benadryl I NEVER got a call back and went to the ER to be told it was ok. Every visit is 5 minutes long and I can never really get a good answer for any of my questions. Bottom line is, steer away from this horrendous pathetic excuse for a pediatrician.

This doctor should not be in practice. A doctor is suppose to provide care to their patient and Dr. Idriss did not. He was aggressive and unprofessional. He raised his voice at me and was aggressive with my 2 week old son. He basically told me to find another doctor and that I was probably going to have to pay for my visit which was untrue. The receptionist at the front was able to help me. He saw my son for less then 5 minutes and I left in tears. A horror story for all parents, please stay away from here.

Front desk staff is nice, he and his daughter (who practices with him) are ridiculously rude. I'm a New Yorker and accustomed to some pretty abrasive behavior, but these two take the cake. Ziad Idriss (father) misdiagnosed my kid. Went to a derm and got a correct diagnosis and medication (obvious case of molluscum). If you want basic pediatric healthcare and basically civilized interaction with your doctor, go elsewhere.

The BEST pediatrician in the DC area! We love him and recommend him highly and without hesitation! We've been with him for over 15 years. He is frank and straight foreward, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Dr. Idriss is an outstanding physician! I fell upon him with my third child who was extremily sick in the ICU at Georgetown. After having gone through physician after physician, he diagnosed the problem in a heartbeat. He was also very sincere and caring, and made us feel extremily secure. I have been with him now for over 15 years, and recommend him to all my friends. He may be quick in clinic, but he delivers top quality care.

We have been going to Dr. Idriss for the past 12 years. We just read what another BCBS member wrote and we thought that this was extremely unjust. Among the many doctors we visited, Dr. Idriss was the only one that diagnosed my son's rare illness. He may be fast but very thorough and personally calls to check back on the kids when they are sick. He is very well trained from Harvard and Duke. He will always be available to see the kids if they are sick late in the evening and on weekends at his office. My lists of questions are always answered at the end of the office visit. We are very happy we found him and besides being an excellent doctor and that my kids love him, he does not make us wait to be seen.

Dr. Idriss is prompt and you have to give him credit for being personally involved in every aspect of his practice. When you call first thing in the morning sick with worry, HE answers the phone and makes the appointment. HE also administers all of the throat cultures and the shots. In this regard he is reminiscent of the small-town family doctors of old. However, because he is so involved and is the sole practitioner, he has little time to actually spend with his patients and their parents. I never feel encouraged to ask all of my questions and am never entirely satisfied with the answers I receive when I ask anyway. His well-baby visits are very hurried and his bed-side manner is brusque. I also get the sense that he schedules tests and visits that are not all together necessary.
