When I saw him , I knew exactly what to expect. He's not a counselor . He's there to manage meds if you need them. I also goto counseling but I still had issues. I made a log book of everything from day one of my problems and he looked at it and asked me some questions. Prescribed the meds and now my life is much more managable .

Great doctor. He does spend a limited time with each patient, but he really wants to treat and not just sit and chat, like some psychiatrists. If I wanted to spend a long time talking about my problems, I would see a therapist (not a psychiatrist). I don't need a doctor to "remember me" as long as he can look at my chart and get an accurate representation of my present state. He treats my depression effectively with medications and my mood has changed significantly. The staff is friendly and efficient, which I appreciate.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. He doesn't remember who you are, doesn't really listen to you or how you feel you are responding to the meds, and spends an average of 10 minutes with you. I no longer see him.

He never remembers your name. He doesn't want to listen to you. I went four times and each time I waited over an hour. He told me my visions of my own death were a normal part of depression. After ending up in the ER from a suicide attempt, I stopped going and sought other treatment, per the emergency counselor's advice. No answering service. His liscense should be taken away.

No answering service for after hours. When I was in trouble he didn't call back I was treated very poorly by Dr. and staff alike.

The low-down is this guy does medication management. He does not counsel, does not really want to hear about your problems. He is interested in how your medication is working or not working, this is what he bills for and is paid. Expect to be with him 5-10 minutes (no more). He is nice enough. Has a horrible memory, doesnt remember anything about you. No unexpected as he sees so many people in one day. Double and triple booked appointments. Waiting time can be 20 mins. The people in the waiting room look like they were just discharged from a hospital and really doped up. If you just need someone to manage dolling out your medication, this guy is fine. I have no problem with him. When I need a new script I have to come in because he will not call it in.

On a positive note, this office has a certified nurse practitioner who assists the doc with prescribing medications. They also have a new office so the problem with seating and standing has been alleviated in 2009. I have been going to this doctor for over 5 years and sadly, I have experienced almost all of the same things these other patients have described (but never heard any yelling). Otherwise, I think he is a nice man despite never remembering my name or anything about me. I would change doctors if I had the liberty to do so; unfortunately, I can't because of my horrible insurance. At this point all I need is medication which is why I keep going back. I am cautious whenever he changes my medicine. I make sure I start off slowly (wean on and off) and pray there are no possible interactions with any of my other medications. Believe me, because of him I learned everything (symptom-wise) the hard way!

Office staff was rude not only to patients but the one who I assume was doctors wife or the so called office manager was yelling at an employee and brought her to tears disgraceful, and you mention it to the doctor and he could care less. But then again what should I expect he doesn't even remember my name after seeing him for a long period of time. It took me a while to find this site wish I had found it before when incident happened, maybe it would have saved alot of patients undue grief.

No answering service so you are on your own after hours. Not that they are that attentive even DURING hours. Unavailable in more ways than one. Most of the office staff have deplorable attitudes and I saw one getting in the face of a patient and yelling while I was in the waiting room. These are too vulnerable a population to be treated in such manners. An overall disgusting experience.
