After, understandably having to cancel last minute due to Covid exposure in his family when I finally didn’t see this doctor he appeared in the exam room without a mask I found them just average perhaps he’s more attentive if you visit him at his concierge practice did the basic minimum poor bedside manner not necessarily curious about my history condition nor myself please please doctor wear a mask I will not be back but for your other patience we deserve to be protected as much as you do.

He is very personable and inspires confidence that you are getting the right care/advise. He is good at deflecting patient over reaction to symptoms, but when warranted his referrals are to top notch Specialists.

I have been with this doctor for many years trusted him but he turned out to be just another doctor who was concerned about money not really interested in his patients instead of talking to them he choose to drop me as a patient. Went to his office and the staff r just rude, Witnessed an elderly patient requesting to see the doctor and the receptionist who is black that sits in the front treated that man terribly spoke to him like he was nothing I informed the doctor and I guess he was mad about that also sorry dr. charap I had alot of respect for you but you are insensitive, dishonest, and I feel you really need to be more professional, I would just like to say to those out there trying to find a doctor therr are so many better doctors out there and if u do not hsve the money sll the time for a copayment go to the hospital because you will be turned down.

I've been going to Dr. Charap for a number of years and he's great! Really knowledgeable, thorough, on top of things and nice. Not crazy about his staff. The people who take the blood (for blood tests) are good but the women at the front test are testy and not too competent. They rush you when you call. Really can't imagine why they have the attitude they do. But if you're willing to deal with them (which isn't that much of a biggie, cause let's face it, you're there to see the doc), I can't recommend him highly enough.

The negative comments on Dr. Charap's staff are out of date. I have found all his staff friendly, helpful, and courteous. I have seen them show great patience with elderly patients, and others with limited English. Dr. Charap himself is friendly and concerned; he is responsive to questions though he doesn't often volunteer details. Like all doctors these days, he is limited in how much time he can allow each patient, but I have never felt he did not hear all of my sometimes complicated health issues.

I doubt you will find a better internist in the City. He is smart, stays up-to-date, and cares about his patients. You can't ask for more.
