Dr. Lewin is a very good doctor. However, the practice accepts no insurance and requires a very expensive physical before they will see you for the first time. I've had various insurance carriers through work and they all reimburse very little of her costs. So this practice is really for wealthy people. The office hours aren't the least bit accommodating for people who work and despite what their website says,you don't always get an appointment same day when you are sick. Each doctor only works a couple of days per week, If Dr. Lewin is out, Dr. Radowitz does not fill in for her. And the receptionist can have an attitude if you properly stand up for yourself. It's unfortunate because Dr. Lewin is a wonderful doctor. I wish she would share her knowledge with everyone instead of a fortunate few who can afford the practice and the limited 9am-5pm hours a couple of days per week. I don't know how poor and middle class people get good healthcare in this city.

Has been my doctor for several years. No she will not rub your head and say what you want to hear to make you feel good. She is BY FAR THE BEST Diagnostician in New york City. She may appear gruff, but under of of that is a kind caring physician that only wants the best for her patients.If you don not think that she is listening, you are WRONG! This doctor does not miss a trick! Will never let her go!

I have been a patient of Sharon Lewin's for over 20 years, and I love her. The annual exam is very thorough and thoughtful. I never feel rushed, so when I have to wait a few minutes, I understand it is because she is taking time with other patients. She really listens, and keeps up with the latest in medicine. Every referral she has given me has been a great doctor. I love the other doctors and support staff in her office, too (don't really understand the other reviewer's negative comment here, because no one in her office has ever complained about anything)--I really feel they are involved in my ongoing care. Whenever she has had to take a call during my exam, she has taken it to advocate for another patient's care, either with a hospital or another doctor. She always calls back quickly when I call her. Knowing you have that kind of advocate behind you is really rare in medical care today. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a doctor like Sharon Lewin!

She is a bit of a witch on wheels. Not always right but not stupidly wrong. Don't ask her extra questions she doest have time, and her bedside manner is pathetic.Usually good with diagnosis and smart. Her style issues are a major detractor. Her office is run by a group of cacklers who will complain incessantly about having to change an appointment, this reflects her harassed style.

I LOVE SHARON. She's kinda tough. She's yelled at me. But when I need help, there is no one else that I want at my side. If she can't answer the problem, she sends me to someone she trusts and who she thinks I can relate to. I'm addicted to her. She's smart, caring, knowledgeable and ego-less. I LOVE SHARON!

Has been my doctor for over 20 years. she tells you the truth which some do not like to hear but she is 100% on the money. She is the best doctor that I have ever met. No other doctor can figure out what is going on? Go to Dr.Sharon Lewin. The Best!!!!

I Love her! She is thorough, concerned, and straight forward. She actually follows through. She has been my doctor for 5 years and will never leave her unless she fires me!
