I didn't know that doctors like Dr. Robert Henry still existed! He takes time to get to know his patients, and even though I visit once/twice a year he always asks me about my job and commute, how my son is doing (is his still playing lacross? did football start up yet) and about my family. He feels like a friend who can take car of medical needs. Always discreet and respectful and he has a great sense of humor. We feel so lucky to have found him, and his staff is like my extended family. Good old fashioned medical care in this crazy, fast-paced world!

When my internist passed away I was in need of new doctor. My previous doctor was an "old-school" physician who treated his patients with respect, spoke to them in his office with their clothes on prior to conducting an examination, and followed up promptly on his findings. I asked a physician/professor friend who heads a department for a recommendation and he recommended Dr. Henry. Dr. Henry is everything I wanted in a doctor and more. Especially noteworthy is his method of treating the whole patient. No matter how full his waiting room is, I have never felt rushed and have always felt as though I had his undivided attention. He is an excellent diagnostician. He is thorough but does not over-treat. He explains things in a simple but comprehensive manner. His staff is pleasant and professional, taking their cue from him. I recommend Dr. Robert Henry wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a doctor who cares about his patients and runs a practice and not merely an office.

Dr. Henry has been my primary physician since he began his practice in Hamden. I have never had such a caring, courteous doctor who is interested in my overall health and happiness. He is so easy to talk to and will always take the time to do so. The office staff is very helpful, returns phone calls, and always calls with test results as soon as they receive them. Many of my friends also are patients of Dr. Henry, and we all agree he's the type of doctor every doctor should emulate.

Dr. Henry is one of those special doctors who make you feel cared for in every way. He listens to your concerns and instinctively understands not only the medical issues but your emotional responses to your problems. He is thorough in his diagnosis process. He follows up with your treatment and is readily willing to change treatment based on your reactions. He returns phone calls and will make time for an unscheduled appointment in an emergency. I trust his judgement completely.

I was blessed and lucky to find Dr.henry through find doctors from my healthplan.It was a crapshoot which I came out a billionaire. Besides Dr. Henry being a great physician here is a list of some of his great traits excellance,great human being, caring,reassuring,helpful,friend,confidence,young,steady hands,hard working,great family man,I could go on and on. Besides Dr. Henry's greatness his staff compliments him. They are all very kind,proffesional,efficient and caring. WORST DR PERIOD, DOESN'T RETURN CALLS, COLLECTS CO PAYS AND INS MONEY DOESN'T CHECK PATIENTS...ANSWERING SERVICE RUDE AND UNRESPONSIVE CAN'T EVEN REACH HIM...SOLO PRACTICIONER NO ONE COVERS WHEN HE'S NOT RETURNING CALLS....STAY ALIVE ...STAY AWAY

Probably the best doctor out there-takes his time with you, listens to your concerns/issues, and is extremely competent. Will never switch, even though I moved about an hour away.
